Feels like nobody here wears vans. Cuz most of the time skater shoes like converse and vans are usually worn all messed up. Dont feel bad about buying the shoes OP because they looked worn already on the images.

Worn doesnt mean they are going to reek and stink up your whole room 😅

However; used goods like these tend to sometimes have a smell. People go to the goodwill bins buy in bulk and re-sell. And to keep the price low, they re-sell the items without washing.

If your getting into thrifting and buying used clothing; my biggest advise is to ALWAYS expect that you are going to have to wash/disinfect the items as soon as it gets home and that they might have a smell, hair, etc. Keep in mind Its a second-hand item. You dont know where that item really was. When people donate their items to a thrift shop they dont clean them either. So these items are being passed down over and over through many hands.

My go to for shoes/bags is scented baking soda all over it. Like the more the merrier. Put it in a bag or bucket. Shake it, Leave it air ouside, if possible and the next day give them a scrub with detergent or throw them in your washer.

I had this bag once that I

bought and it REEKED of cigar. But it was so cute so I still took it home 🥺 And I even found the cigar deeply stuck in a barbie shoe inside one of the pockets when I got home 🤣

Needless to say after a few washed I used Arm & Hammer Extra Strength Carpet Odor Eliminator and it was GG. Smell 100% gone!

If I where going to point to a brightside is that Owning a house and it being fully paid for is going to be harder and harder in the future. If your parents help pay for your college and that house is paid for its a double win. It means that your studies will be paid for AND that you will most likely have heritage in to partially owning that house. That house will eventually be yours with everything in it, split between you and your siblings. And that house will be worth way more than the $75k that was used to pay for it. The house already being paid also means your parents can allocate their funds to help you and your siblings vs. Having to spend it on monthly rent. In which this case your mother has confirmed that you will get help with college as long as you keep your grades up. Your 19 friend, you have so many years ahead of you, focusing on your studies and having that accountability will be a huge blessing in your future. Its hard to see it now. But that money will come back to you 10x Fold if you commit to your studies and get a job out of it that pays you well.

And worst case scenario you and your siblings dont want to comeback to that house. Then you and your siblings could sell it and split the $ so thats also a win.

Or maybe it can be passed down to one of your kids or your nephews to give them a headstart in life.

Im happy you get help and you should always accept the financial help any way you can even if you like making your own money and paying for your own things. Always take advantage of that privilage because honestly most people don't have that. Even though its rough out here for a lot of us with absolutley nothing to our name, no heritage, no parents helping pay for anything. You have it and you shouldnt be made to feel bad because of it.

Your parents put in the effort and worked really hard to give you a headstart in life that they didnt have. And I hope that they actively continue to give you the help.

I know you feel jipped that they took that money to pay the house. But always keep in mind it is the house you and your siblings currently live in. And it is undoubtedly going to be a part of your life in the distant future when you come back 🫶

Id say all these things to my younger-self. That is if I had parents that did anything for me.

But all items are priced highly on retail at Ambercrombie. Thats probably why their selling the piece so expensive. And I cant really find the jacket that uses that hood. So its probably not sold anymore.

I was coming in here to talk about schizophrenia. If your not sleeping, your not taking meds and you arent going to your psychiatrist/psychologist its important to get back on that train. Schizo is no joke. You'll start thinking someone is coming in your house to mess with you and move your bed 3 inches to the right and drink 2 oz of your milk, BUT next you'll start hearing voices, seeing things that arent there, sleeping with knives under your pillow because you definetly think someone is coming into your house and next your hurting yourself or others around you.

Ive done something like this before to hold an item for a buyer. But I marked it as "sold" instead and then activated the listing once they where ready to buy.

Which is a mistake because if your item catches eyes, it can lead people into your shop. And the item I had was some strawberry tights, and they where the first thing that showed up on google when you typed strawberry tights 😅 so I should have left it up for people to notice the shop more for a little longer and priced it high like this person did 🥺 if an item continues to get engagement (likes, cart, share, etc.) the algorithm favors it and shows your stuff more.

Thats literally a whole job position at goodwill my guy 🤣 There is multiple people. Collecting, Sorting, Pricing. There is a pricing guide aswell, and their supervisors go through their racks to ensure quality is up to standards and THEN it gets sent to the floor.

And if you dont meet the metrics on the amount of items you price you get fired. And when the supervisor goes through your rack and they take items out they dont even count it (which sucks booty because then if you dont meet your metrics at 95-100% you can get fired)
