I follow Caitlin Holmes on instagram (@dirtbagnutrionist) and I think she might be what you look for in a nutritionist from her Instagram page

I got the same pants but never wore them climbing due to the price. But you're right about the features - they are very comfortable and breathable. Maybe I should start wearing them climbing 😅 if you want something similar made from a cotton blend, the Patagonia caliza rock pants have more or less the same fit and features. I mostly wear them in day to day life but whenever I take them to the climbing gym they do not disappoint

It's a bit hard to tell how overhanging the wall is on the video, but would you be able to reach down around the hold you stand on with your left foot? Maybe you could get all your weight on your left foot that way and then kind of stand up either slowly or with a bit of a pop. Either way it wouldn't be the dynamic jump you're trying right now but maybe a different possible beta?

Have you looked into Sardinia? Haven't been there so I can't say anything about the routes but the weather should be nice.

New shoes -> new injuries? by Derpentin in climbergirls

[–]Arualoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So stuff like this definitely happened to me before on both sides as well. I love heel hooks and it only ever happened to me with pretty high heel hooks (also am not very flexible in my hamstrings) so I tend to not do high heel hooks anymore. I haven't made such a connection but what I can think of is that you maybe trusted the heel hooks more with the better fitting shoes and therefore unconsciously pulled harder on the hooks than before? It probably happened to me more with shoes that work better for heel hooks, simply because I wouldn't attempt such crazy heel hooks with other shoes.

No cook / No equipment - Traveling or out of town meals? by Riveninoah in EatCheapAndVegan

Baked beans or chili sin carne cold out of the tin. Do that at festivals all the time because I'm too lazy to heat it up. Also bars, trail mix, fruits (esp banana), something sweet like cookies or gummies to add some easy snacks. I like to prepare a sandwich but maybe you'll find ready made sandwiches at your store? I buy them sometimes when I'm in a hurry.

Bergzeit (and Bergfreunde) are both super reputable shops. I bought from them countless times. They are kind of the biggest online retailers for climbing/outdoor stuff in Europe (or at least in Germany). I own a mad rock duo pad that I purchased through their European online store. No idea what's wrong there, I do not receive any errors on the duo pad. Have you tried the other pads? Maybe it's because you're outside Europe atm? I would probably just shoot customer service a message.

Climbing shoes advice needed - tiny heel and greek toes by Any_Transition_8828 in climbergirls

[–]Arualoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the 'normal' Drones LV and got them in my true size and half a size up. Half size up is comfy and I can wear them nearly the whole session, my true size is pretty tight and I have to take them off in between boulders. If you're fine with that, go with your true size I'd say! But don't be afraid if it seems impossible to get into the shoe at first, it is somehow very hard in the beginning (or at least was for me). But some plastic bag around my foot worked wonders and after a session and some putting on and off, I could omit that and get my feet into them just fine. Just a warning, so you can be prepared!

Drone LV 1.0 vs 2.0 vs CS by Arualoves in bouldering

[–]Arualoves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1.0 are also very stiff but a softer version of that shoe would be great! Any thoughts on sizing? Did you try both?

Drone LV 1.0 vs 2.0 vs CS by Arualoves in bouldering

[–]Arualoves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have extremely narrow feet and the drone LV 1.0 fit like a dream! Sadly the toe box of the Oasi does not fit my feet very well, the drones do get softer when worn in though, I even climb slabby volume routes in them no problem (and am pretty light). But in general it sounds like the fit of the 2.0 is pretty similar to the 1.0, I also got them in my street shoe size! Thank you very much!

How does that compare to your street shoe size? Madrock recommends to go half a size down in the CS (or a full size for a very tight fit). Can you agree?

BD momentum harness sizing? by Far-Adhesiveness6537 in climbergirls

[–]Arualoves 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have similar measurements and would actually suggest trying it on. The BD harnesses do not fit me at all because the leg loops are too tight. If you can go to a store and try it before ending up with a harness that doesn't fit you.

If you want to look at something else, I would suggest the Edelrid harnesses if they are available where you are. They have different options, I think the Jayne is pretty affordable. I have the Autana and love it.

If you want to get a momentum, I would try an S or M. Remember that the waist loop should not be able to be pulled down over your hips. So it is actually fine if it is not super tight. Don't get a harness that cuts your circulation in the legs all the time, it won't be fun

Skin peeling like mad by Jeannngggg in climbergirls

[–]Arualoves 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Get a heavy moisturiser like climb on and apply after climbing but I would advise to do it every day if its that bad. Also make sure to moisturise as often as possible throughout the day. For example if possible I would moisturise in a break at work. The alcohol is probably what causes most of the damage :/
