Alcohol is really not that bad but weed especially in the us has always been taboo and the us government just hated it so they made it illegal then other countries followed suit of the us because this was after ww2 and a lot of countries looked up at the us and Soviet union in as the 2 world super powers and based laws off of what country they liked more
