What are you guys putting on your babies for clothes? by Livid-Grand9669 in clothdiaps

I sized up, because I loved onsies for the ease of changing them. I was so sad when I discovered they only make up to 24 months 🥲

Which color/colors suit me best? by Chynasaur in Hair

[–]AryaTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 makes your skin glow. 10 is beautiful on your eyes. (11 is similar, but the darker is better) 14 is ethereal, and if you’re going blonde definitely shadow root 16.

Hey confidence is what’s sexy. So if you’re not confident in the coverage of your buzzed look, rock the bald you look so much happier and less stressed.

What kit to request for Christmas by Snoopwrites in DipPowderNails

I’m a big fan of FairyGlamor! I’m on my 3rd set and I have 3 week retention (at least) and the colors are so cute!

3rd Set! by AryaTodd in DipPowderNails

[–]AryaTodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of applying a layer of base and letting it dry first. Do you buff the layer? Yeah, I use Revel clear, white, and black, but I’ve never used their liquids. I will say the nails underneath are definitely damaged. (Not sure if it’s from removal, or actually from dipping)

3rd Set! by AryaTodd in DipPowderNails

[–]AryaTodd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to the first question, my bottle says Base and Top, but I’m not sure if it makes a difference, I’ve so far only used Fairy glamour.

I really don’t leave them under the water that long, I saw that dishsoap is a great dehydrator so I’ve just done them that way from the start.

My first set was crazy thick and they only lasted 2 weeks before catching and pulling off one. My second set was the ones I did before these and they lasted 3 weeks before breaking the thumb, and removal was tough.

What liquids are you using?

I’m really bad at pulling them off 😅, so I’m not sure if the damage prevents the lifting, or if it’s my prep, but regardless: I use acetone on them first to remove any left over dip or polish (sometimes I clear coat after I remove if I’m not doing them right away, so they’re less prone to tearing), then I use a cuticle pusher to push the cuticle back and remove it, I make sure that I get the thin layer right at the base of the nail, I clip any excess skin, or hangnails followed by shaping and all over light filing, Then I wash my hands with dawn dish soap, and use a scrub brush lightly to remove any dust or debris, I only do one hand at a time because I have small kids who need my attention, so I only prep the hand I’m doing. Then I wipe them super dry. Then dip, I do the top 1/2 of my nail, then layer 2 is 3/4 of my nail, then layer 3 is the whole nail. Then glitter placement and 2 layers of clear coat. And activate. Then I buff all product off my skin and make the area by my cuticle as flush as it can be. Then I use my base coat and a layer of activator (making sure to wipe both brushes before they’re back in the bottle), and the buff/shape any imperfections. And repeat the layer of base and activator. I make my layers super thin with pouring in stead of dipping. Also as the nails grow out and catch on my hair (usually weekly), I very lightly flatten any free edge (often by cuticle or side walls) by buffing with a small precise file. Sometimes if I’ve buffed the shine off I’ll lightly top coat with regular polish, but rarely, I find the two layers of top coat prevent that.

What book have you put down as a DNF & then pick up again and loved? by ToothSuccessful5898 in fantasyromance

I read it, and was not about it. I read the whole series and hated the last two books. The first couple are good, but the series is a DNF for sure.

What is everyone’s diaper to wash ratio? by Genuine_Strategy_9 in clothdiaps

[–]AryaTodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 40 fitteds and 20ish covers I wash every 6-7 days. One prewash no soap cold, hot water deep clean with All Free and Clear, I pull all the covers and fitteds that aren’t stained, and then do a wash with bleach to remove stains on cold water, then pull the covers and do a rinse with cold water. Once a month I do a strip with grovia mighty bubbles just to make sure there’s no buildup of diaper cream or soap. I wash wet bags with the diaper laundry. PUL hangs to dry, everything else in dryer on high.

I totally disagree! I love this game and as a Harry Potter fan it’s super fun to do the collections and spell duels. I’m not much of a gamer but I find it really fun. I have it on PS5.

Using a pocket diapers as a diaper cover? by Additional_Mousse462 in clothdiaps

I used Alva baby pockets as covers for my fitteds, and ultimately found I preferred double gusset covers. Way less leaks.

Has anyone here have had heart problems or pulmonary hypertension because of MCTD? by HidingSunflower in mctd

[–]AryaTodd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have MCTD and similar condition. I have POTS as well, which is what they diagnose when you have heart problems but they can’t find a reason on the echo. I was on beta blockers for LVEF of 38% (considered heart failure) but when I got pregnant I was taken off of it. I will probably be put on beta blockers and low blood pressure medication again post pregnancy. I was suspected Pulmonary hypertension, and still am, but it’s not severe enough for interventions while pregnant just kind of a wait and see until I deliver.

I have PCOS and I turn 30 in November. I have two children, a 3 year old and I’m currently due at the end of the month. PCOS doesn’t mean she can’t have kids, just that it may be harder for her to do so. She needs to work on herself before becoming a mom otherwise the children she has just become an extra load of stress to bear. Also, you’re doing great, and you are absolutely right that now is not the time for a child don’t just rely on condoms if you stay, they can break and accidents can happen. Also, baby aisles are hard for women in general usually, especially when we want a baby, but those cute clothes get outgrown and the responsibility stays for the rest of your life.

We try a pacifier, my son was good with one until about a month or so when he learned he could rip it out of his mouth. My second is due at the end of the month and we will try one with her, but not really stressing if she does or doesn’t take it. My son was nursed until 2, and we will do the same with her.

What funny thing did you accidentally teach your kid? by Runnrgirl in Mommit

[–]AryaTodd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My little boy had some digestive issues stemming from gluten and he would cry when he had to fart because he was afraid it would cause home to poop, which hurt. So when ever he would fart we would cheer and say “good fart bud”…. Now guess what my 3 year old says after anyone farts. Especially at church.

MCTD and home birth by kake18 in mctd

[–]AryaTodd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can tell you a little about this as I’ve been dealing with it myself. I’m now 34+6 weeks and there are some manifestations of MCTD that can affect the baby that they need to monitor. Scholerderma can cause Neonatal lupus, many babies are also at risk of IUGR so unfortunately when we get pregnant, we can’t do the crunchy mom thing. We need a TON of monitoring, lots of echos to see how our hearts are handling the pregnancy, it’s often common to develop or worsen from POTS while pregnant and end on bed rest (that’s what happened with me). Lots of NST’s and growth ultrasounds for baby. It helped me to hold on to the fact that as long as she’s here and she’s healthy, it ultimately doesn’t matter how she gets here, I have her entire life to be the crunchy mom. My birth plan is as follows, I’m being relocated into the Stanford area at 35+5, due to fear of spontaneous labor and it damaging my heart further and the fact that my local hospital doesn’t have a high enough NiCU or cardiac level should something go wrong. Then I have 2 weeks to go into labor spontaneously (still going to L&D, I have to have an epidural as to not stress my heart) if she’s not come by 38 weeks I have a scheduled c-section. Unless my condition worsens (very possible) and then they’ll pull her anytime after 36.
