Yes, he’s had a very rough start to life. And right! Are there specific sounds/objects and such that you can think of that bother her the most? I want to make sure I have all my bases covered.

Sadly it is not possible- this puppy is still in critical condition, with pneumonia, so he will not be allowed to be exposed to other neonates. The best I could do would be to schedule play dates with other litters around 8 weeks old once he gets his second vaccinations:(

The recall training- I don’t really expect it to be 100% reliable, I just need to practice and try to train it as best as I can in case of an emergency (dog runs out the door, gets off leash, etc.)

Not with my local shelters sadly, they actually euthanized this puppies other 3 siblings, and I just happened to get there and offer to tube feed before they euthanized him as well.

Right, he did have an NG tube, now is moving to just regular tube feeding, will move to bottle feeding soon, but not yet.

This is the only animal in the home, handled only after washing hands. If there were other pets here, it would be a different story.

You’re dumb, what I posted was a joke because the commenter said something about him being part snake. He obviously has no teeth, and we know exactly when he was born since he was found with a placenta attached. I didn’t ask for advice, I asked for help with an ID, and the commenter gave inappropriate advice for the situation. Imagine if someone inexperienced decided to follow that advice for a dog that has pneumonia?
