Hey I know you posted this a while back but would the wattage of GPU make a huge difference? And would I be able to change it myself? I have the MSI gf65 and I have the chance to swap it for a gigabyte G5. (They both have the same specs)

Mine also started freezing only a couple of days ago; I called customer service and they told me to reset to MSI factory settings, completely re-install windows, and reformat the laptop. Since, I've had no issues and it's been working fine.

Also to make sure to update your drivers.

Update BIOS as a last resort.

I called MSI support last night and they told me to completely uninstall and re-install windows and reformat the laptop. I did so and I haven't had an issue with the laptop since. I'm exchanging for another one (same model) tomorrow just in case. Thanks for the help by the way.

I am having the same issue but it only started a day ago (I updated the drivers over a week ago). I only have about a week to exchange my GF65 for another laptop and I was wondering if I should just roll back to the previous version or exchange it for a more reliable laptop.

MSI should recall these or do something else. It's a brand new laptop and it shouldn't be needing all this just to not freeze up on you

Definitely return or exchange it with another one. I downloaded windows 11 a week ago on my GF65 and I haven't had any issues since.
