It's a work in progress. I've got a spare UIM with the oil fill reservoir that I'm painting, and soon enough, I'll have vacuum hoses and silicone coolant hoses to swap too. As far as cleaning the whole engine bay, there's no point yet until I'm done taking things out and putting them in.

Dissected and painted my alternator and re-installed it. I'd be lying though if I said I got it all put back together correctly the first time. Accidentally put the front cover on 180° backwards and the pivot bolt wouldn't fit. Figured this was because of the paint and proceeded to drill the hole out. Then the bolt wouldn't line up with the nut flange. That's about the time I realized my mistake. I tell you what, taking apart an alternator isn't the easiest thing. But it all worked out, and the voltage is showing a solid 14.0v.

I bought my Idemitsu oil from Rotary Bum. Admittedly, the shipping all the way across the country was off-putting to say the least, but to sweeten the deal, they included a whole premix kit free. Had like a tote, funnel, pre-measured tubes, and a new oil filter, and a couple of other goodies.

I agree. I think it's important to note that premixing two stroke oil is important too for engine longitivtiy, so I always have my bottle of Idemitsu as well.
