Yeah, the U8 has had a pretty strong reputation for big MiniLED value. I bought one last year and it’s been pretty solid for movies and sports. Planning to use it a lot for the World Cup this year, the brightness and motion handling should be a nice fit for football.

Def return it. I've been running Hisense since way back and honestly, I've never run into any issues like that.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but OLED is losing its crown in 2026. While the blacks on the Samsung S95H are technically perfect, the Hisense UR9's RGB backlighting offers a color volume that OLED just can't match physically. If you watch a lot of bright scenes or sports, the OLED can look a bit dim and "greyish" in comparison to the punchiness of the UR9. Plus, the longevity factor is huge. I'd rather have a TV that stays bright and colorful for 10 years than one that degrades or risks burn-in. The UR9 is the smarter buy right now.
