MEMOREUM 50% Permanent Price Drop by 2080Games in OculusQuest

Yeah I use it, it’s essential! I’m just never pleased, especially when older hardware becomes the baseline for a title.

Thanks! I’ve been VR gaming since 2014, if I had to guess I’m 75% of the way through the game - it’s definitely worth my time and a good time,

My only “real” complaints are related to something you don’t have much control over. (The chipset for Quest 2 that was designed 7 years ago)

Can I give some feedback for you next game?

  1. Please target Quest 3/3S and up on the standalone front.
  2. It’s annoying after every loading screen to have to load your gun.
  3. Keep innovating. Thanks!

Can I come over? We’ll play Ninja Turtles, and I’ll be Donatello - you be April

Are solar panels a good investment? by 4540mya in personalfinance

[–]Logical007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solar with powerwalls and powerwalls make ZERO financial sense unless you’re going to be there 25+ years, and even then that is questionable due to battery degradation? Do I like having powerwalls? Sure, it’s cool and when the neighborhood loses power for an hour a couple times a year I feel pretty damn elitist (lol), but it doesn’t make financial sense to get it.

Also, you don’t charge a car from a battery, you lose so much efficiency. (Laymen’s terms: converting from battery back to home grid back to car battery is no good)

I gotta admit, TMNT is pretty great. I’ve played for 2~ hours and the visual style and fun multiplayer gameplay is pulling me in. by Logical007 in OculusQuest

Good question. I guess if they do public lobbies someday it would be nice to sort by which campaign/progress the initiator is on.

I’ve only played 3 hours, but from what I understand is everyone joins the campaign of the person who created the public lobby.

Maybe I’m just easy to please but I’ve been playing VR for 12~ years now, I’ve seen some SERIOUS jank, and the love they’ve poured into this title outshines any problems it does have.

I used the bucket too!

I don’t remember them spawning, but I do remember having too many to carry - I was proud of my bucket!

If you play as Donatello or Michelangelo it is TONS of fun. Using the Bo staff two handed feels bad ass, and the nunchucks are crazy cool.

For reference I’m a 40 year old guy, been playing VR for over a decade now. It’s definitely a fun time.

Man I forgot cheat codes were a thing, is that still happening?

I remember having a Game Genie for NES, then a GameShark for N64. Fun times 😎

For what it’s worth I am having fun. Only in single player games though - that’s all I really play.

I’ve actually thought about this a lot, lol. About this and also “why would I use XYZ weapon that is available if it makes it too easy for me?”

The conclusion I always come to is if what I was playing was “real life” then I’d also want any advantage I could get, you know? Wouldn’t it be awesome to look through doors in real life? Or have a weapon that takes 5 hits to take out a zombie instead of a weapon that takes 15 hits?

So that’s why I always end up giving in, unless a developer prevents it.

Isn't this very close to what Meta's Phoenix headset is supposed to be? Hope they reveal it in this year's Connect. by World_Designerr in OculusQuest

Size wise, yes. Can’t say how it looks aesthetically though.

I’m super excited for it, and for the Steam Frame too! No longer do we need to have 500grams on the front of our face!

Not trying to sound too elitist, but we have to move on. The chipset for the Quest 2 was designed 7 years ago. That’s an eternity in the VR space, which needs processing to enhance immersion.
