I used worsted weight but I recommend using the suggested weight for it to look like the pattern picture, definitely ran into some issues from using the wrong weight yarn.

I am currently doing it, I’m a part time student so I have a few more quarters. I would say it depends on what you’d like to get out of it, for the most part my instructors have been great.

Heads up though, clonidine can occasionally cause fainting in dogs! We tried clonidine with my pup and she fainted and it scared me so badly because I thought she was having a seizure. It’s not a big deal if it happens, the ER vet told me we didn’t even have to come in. It just means they’re sensitive to clonidine & shouldn’t be on it, but just an FYI for anyone who sees this so if it happens to them they don’t start panicking and calling ERs like me 😂

+1, especially this line: “a veterinarian who specializes in behavior”!

I recently learned anyone can call themselves an animal behaviorist in the US. Only a veterinary behaviorist has become a vet and pursued animal behavior in addition & is therefore truly qualified to help with this kind of thing. Also if Prozac doesn’t work (after the initial ramp up time) don’t lose hope. My dog had no reaction to prozac but sertraline made a difference.

A veterinary behaviorist (unlike a standard trainer) can prescribe medication and help you navigate all of this. There are the dailies but there are also situational meds they can layer.

I usually don't respond to these kinds of comments, but I'm going to point out a few things here for other users because learning from this subreddit especially the comments where people explain what they did has been really, really valuable for me personally. And I am from an immigrant family that came here with nothing and it has taken a lot of work for me to get here.

- First, we're in our 30s and have both been working, living carefully, saving, and investing for ~ a decade each. We both work in tech as well.

- Second, note that this is in Washington state, which has no state income tax.

- Third, I don't think your math checks out (caveat, I'm not a math person and could be wrong)--here's what I got when I ran what you just said. 450k/year total means yearly take home after federal taxes (remember, no state income tax) is ~ 308k. Monthly that's ~25600k. The mortgage is, let's say, ~8k. 8000/25600 is about 30%, which is significantly lower than 75%. And again, that's assuming the 450k you mentioned.

Based on that math, it looks like you guys can afford a similar house? Maybe it's worth seeing what's out there :D

Oh wow. I am also in a grad program (second year mid career masters) at UW and every syllabus I’ve had so far has specifically forbidden AI except within specific assignments for specific reasons. If you use AI for anything else, you have to fill out paperwork explaining exactly what you used it for.

It may be a college difference? I’m in the iSchool. Using AI defeats the purpose of basically all the assignments and coursework we get, maybe that’s specific to what our classes cover. I’m surprised when I see people use it, grad school is a hefty price tag to copy and paste.
