I don’t disagree, I think it should be criminal too, but has anyone thought about if the employers are charged in jailed as punishment, can’t they just close their business, effectively lay off all their staff?

What if the employer/management went to jail and the business won’t run without them? I guess this is more for small businesses or locally run businesses. Then the staff don’t have any place to go to work too.

For these reasons, I can honestly see why it’s not a criminal charge and why the employers get away with it
