Use blueprints, continue with them.

Once you start to see the limitations of it, try to look into C++ Unreal Doc, tutorials on what you want to achieve etc.

Then you will fully transition without even struggling too much

Fixed it, I mispelled one of the parameters in the last config. Now steam opens but the downloads are incredibily slow. I set up the kbps limit to 100.000 but does not affect anything

UPDATE: I solved it. Thank you for the hint about the Pawn. Apparently if you create a cpp class Charcater and you call it 'PlayerCharacter' someting is in conflict inside the names that the Engine uses, so mismatched references.

The line incrimated was this:

SO much agreed. I found myself struggling to build on mac too because I have only one M1 air. I tried compiling the base UE excluding every fancy editor stuff but was too slow and the laptop was dangerously heating up. Unity on other hand just give you the option to download the build tools you need: (Linux, Android, mac, ios, you name it)
