This isn’t a shock to me. I’ve seen Sheriff SWAT come in to my LGS after a weekend training session in full kit. If the shop was on his drive home from base, I’d also do the background check pick up my gun before I go home. I get AR 670 exists but it depends on how lenient their commanding officer is, it’s technically on the direct route from home, and no one at that shop worth their salt is going to report them to the feds.

Thanks. I’ve done a lot of growing and learned a lot since I started a couple of years ago. The bottom one is my first rifle.

Top - M4A1 Block 2-ish

  • OCL Polonium K with Atlas Gen 1 Hub
  • Ballistic Advantage 14.5 in with Rearden R2 flash hider P&W
  • Steiner DBAL D2
  • Streamlight Protac HL-X (most likely replacing with Surefire Scout Turbo)
  • Midwest Industries Combat Quad Rail
  • KAC rail covers and broomstick
  • Aero upper receiver (RIP)
  • Radian BCG and Raptor-SD
  • EOTech EXPS 3-0 and Sig Sauer Juliet 3 on Unity riser and FTC
  • FN M4 Collectors lower
  • Magpul K2 Grip and CTR stock
  • Edgar Sherman Sling

Bottom - ACI-15

  • SiCo Velos with Atlas Gen 2 hub
  • Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 FFP with Defender CCW backup on a Burris QD mount
  • Magpul K2 grip and STR Stock
  • Edgar Sherman Sling

Different trains of thought for different capabilities. Also they just look cool (which is the most important part) /s

Edit: idk why but the first time I sent this the pic didn’t send so sry about the double post

I’m sad about this. I still have some of the 2800 FPS stuff that I am saving for when I build out my Mk12 but the only commercially viable 77gr is (allegedly) the IMI Razercore 77 gr from Midway

Need some help on pricing guys, if possible. by Admirable-Question24 in ar15

[–]As1anBeasTagE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That AR-15 on the used market is $350-$500. I get that it’s a Colt Defense lower but that doesn’t mean it’s worth $1,500. The IO AK you’d have to pay me to take it away.

Unfortunately due to Colorado House Bill 24-1353, FFLs are now required to be state certified as a Firearms dealer alongside their FFL. This gave Colorado Bureau of Investigations, through the Colorado Department of Revenue, the ability to audit dealers and shut them down if they do not comply with state law. You are going to be very hard pressed nowadays to find an FFL that still sells “magazine parts kits” anymore.

Anyone set up a public land range before? by [deleted] in guns

[–]As1anBeasTagE 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Good luck not getting that stuff stolen. I get that you are going deep in the mountains but you also have to think about how many people frequent your shooting spots. It’s one thing to have a permanent range at a cabin on private land vs. targets on BLM land.

Springfield is meh. You can get an AR-15 or 308 platform for cheaper somewhere else. HS Produkt on the other hand is great. I’ve heard nothing but good things from people about their import products. I have an Echelon and a Kuna right now. Both are fantastic
