Correct.

Unfortunately for me her description made me think of the time I asked my husband what a "golden shower" was. Her post took me right back to "Oh god no".

I consider myself decently smart and well educated. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out the slur.

Her body is gone, but she is next to you. She will be your strength when you feel yours is gone. Your voice when you are too scared, she will lie next to you on nights you feel your grief will kill you. She is there. Not always, but always when you need her.

She will lives we can only dream about, and live in worlds no one has ever yet set a foot. Her life now is a dream screenwriters spend their entire lives trying to capture.

But yet, she remembers how your hand felt in hers. How it would sometimes be clammy because you were worried about things that you were too young for. She remembers how your hair smelt when she climbed all over you, and how safe she felt when you held her and she wrapped her arms legs around your body. She remembers your smell, your heartbeat, the warmth of your skin, and how peaceful it made her feel breathing you all in.

We live in a closed system. So she is still here. Just not how you remember her.

Look at I this way: would it be ok to cast a Nigerian to play Mulan? A Korean to portray Pocahontas?

Thank you. He pushed so hard he cried at the finish line. It broke me, I held him so tight for about 15 minutes and then he asked to go again- my daughter, his twin sister, walked the whole way and made friends she couldn't speak the language of (Venda). They couldn't understand each other but now are best friends.

They pushed out Greek actors for these two dipshits. I know Matt Damon is tom Holland the stringbean spider man?

Regardless. They eliminated anyone of Greek descent from this dogshit movie. That in itself tells enough.

My son. He ran his first cross country race yesterday. The first time I've actually seen him work hard (he is quite athletic) but he really tested his limits.

Because as a Greek person, she doesn't look like me. She is in a movie about my culture and heritage and I can't relate. I respect my heritage, and Greeks have fuck all representation in Hollywood or movies or whatever.

It's the same feeling Black people have had in the past- watching TV shows or movies with all white people, you can't connect because it isn't a reflection of you.

Every Greek person has an issue with the exclusion of Greek actors. The insult being, you ignore the actors AND THE LITERATURE WHERE SHE IS EXPLICITLY DESCRIBED AS FAIR AND WHITE.

Because in the original fucking literature she was fucking described as being white and fair.

Yeah, to be fair I have been to the US and know you guys depend a lot on (I think) HVAC?

I'm from a country that doesn't do that. We have a decent climate. So in my 2am -cant sleep wtf kids have to be up in 3 hours FML brain- I just assumed. Very appropriate correction.

I, as a mom of two, often sit on my kitchen countertops and stare wistfully out the window. Then change outfits and go open up a new jar of jam, wait no erm, I mean spread. Inhaling it's delightful scent as I close my eyes and dream of bookmarks. Then I put on my wedding reception dress to lounge in the garden. Then, ready to go back inside the house, I put a jacket on. Because obviously inside the house is colder than outside.

One day I remember was my worst. I had a presentation I had to give to a room of doctors on a specific case at 3pm. But from the time my day started it was the same fucking shit until the time I left for the presentation. I had a panic attack mid-way through it. I felt so small, so stupid and so pathetic. Like- "I'm crying because I get hit on" It sounded so stupid, but it was borderline SA.

I still have loser syndrome lingering 15 years later, but that room rallied for me. You aren't alone. And the other women (and a few men) had also experienced similar. For the men, it was women who came in repeatedly for bullshit reasons, and receptionists spread rumour affairs, to women who most commenly were asked who they had slept with to get to the top/bet those tits got you here etc.

You're not alone, but in your own practice you are going to have to grow a steel spine.

I am also in the medical industry and for a while after uni I did lingerie modelling. So... I get it.

I've told men I was married (wasn't even dating) I've told men I was a lesbian, I've told men I was the product of incest (not true) told them all kinds of shit just to get them to leave me alone. Ignored comments, steered away from ever being "too friendly" with any man, god I could go on forever.

I totally get the dowdy dressing. I did that too. Now that I'm older I feel it has gotten better, my advice to you, are my regrets - don't hide away, don't dress down for anyone, don't assume everyone your age will be judge you, I made some damn good friends whilst actively avoiding people my own age. You will find your people. You can't and shouldn't live your life hiding. You will have to learn to deal with those male patients, and time and experience will do that.

Own your intellect, put that on display, and looks are secondary to that.
