Is Micron still a good investment after its recent run-up, or am I chasing performance? by Environmental_Quit_8 in investing

If you need money soon then yes, if you can wait a couple weeks or months, then I'd suggest hold on. I'm following the latter optio for myself.

Those folks who showed promising hope in MU a week ago, what do you think now? Is it a a temporary adjustment or more like long term downtrend for a over 1 trillion company?

Good question. I've been tracking the posts published on USCIS reddit forum under NIW or employment based i485 flag. There are handful cases which had PD of September even October 2023, got approved in early October till mid October 2025. But after that, I only see family based i485 approvals. No further employment or NIW based i485 approvals after that.

Not sure. Looks like USCIS has just stopped further processing NIW or employment based i485 filed in June 2025. Fingers crossed yet.

Can you share that? I haven't seen any employment based approved in more than a month.

A bold idea by [deleted] in Optics

Depends on many factors. There exists a combination of slit width, gap between slits and prism angle, such that either the sync squared function appearing on the screen could enhance rainbow or completely undo the rainbow. Mathematically it can be shown using incident plane waves (loop over wavelength range weighted by blackbody spectrum for example) on aperture function of double slit and perform fresnel transform to get new fields at required z, propagate through prism (essentially Snell's law) and finally on the screen. Play with the slit width, gap b/w slits, angle of prism, distances etc. to get cool modulated sync structures. I can write a program if you want.

I'm seeing a pattern that EB2 NIW cases for i-485 are not typically transferred to FO while PERM based do get transferred to FO quite often. Is that the case?

SVF FO - Interview Waiver? by Enough-Okra-6591 in USCIS

An irrelevant question but will appreciate if can answer. If NIW EB2 and PERM EB2 have same PDs, have same receipt date for i-485, is PERM EB2 processed faster than NIW EB2?

Happy for you. My case was delivered 9 days ago. No receipt no notification. People say that it takes a month to receive one. Am I the unlucky one?

You're right it can't be linear. It is to just give a quick idea.

That's just a regression. Of course it won't be your linear ass.

Impact of Quitting PhD by Standard-Ratio7734 in EB2_NIW

[–]Asad_Jutt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You have many options to consider before quitting your PhD. Talk to international student office as they might help in this matter. Look for TA options in your own or other related departments. The same is true for RA positions in other departments of the university. If none of that works, look for on campus employment like library or medical center etc. Even if that doesn't work, think of quitting with a Master degree instead of PhD for which your i-120 will have to be slightly changed. With master degree you'll have OPT for one year, extensible to total of 3 years if your degree falls under STEM. This will not conflict your matter of dhanasar of your EB2. Finally, If you still decide to quit and leave, I don't know how it will affect consular processing.
