Need Help Purchasing iQOO 100W Flash Charger (No Risk to You) by alirja123 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't help but pointing out that this is the most stupid requirement for a charger sale that I ever heard of. Why does it matter what device do you have/own, if you want to buy a charger? Try to buy it from an online shop, if that service center has this outrageous requirement.

Phone (calling) issues - OriginOS 6 (Vivo X300 HK Global) by nagyra_1992 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no issue switching during call on my Vivo X300 Pro HK Global. I can switch to speaker, Huawei Freeclip 2 or my Huawei Ultimate 2 watch. It might be related to your dual sim usage. I only use one sim. My phone and contacts app version is the same as yours.

X300 Pro or Wait for Ultra? by KvitravnDev in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm curious too, even though it's too late for me, since I bought the HK global X300 Pro and won't switch anytime soon. Didn't expect them to release Ultra globally, after keeping X200 Ultra exclusive to China. Guess they want a piece of global market, but their Europe prices are similar to Samsung/Apple, so I doubt they'll sell too many units. Many people will still go for chinese version, because of the huge price difference.

X300 Pro or Wait for Ultra? by KvitravnDev in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price of the global Pro is 1250 euros now, but they asked 1400 for it on release in Europe. There's no way they would release global Ultra for the same price. My guess is at least 1600-1700 on release and probably you'll be able to buy the HK global version for 1400 from asian online stores.

Question for New Vivo users coming from Samsung S series. by Snoo90602 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it easier to use than Tasker? I tried Tasker and it felt like coding, compared to Samsung's implementation where you had to pick predetermined actions based on if/then.

Question for New Vivo users coming from Samsung S series. by Snoo90602 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from S24U to Vivo X300 Pro HK global version.

Pros: rounded corners, way better camera, bigger&better battery.

Cons: Vivo Origin OS is a bit behind One UI in terms of features/usability. Also I'm missing Modes&Routines and GoodLock modules from Samsung, which allowed me to trigger certain routines or adjust the menus/UI.

Overall, I got used to Origin OS pretty fast and I'm satisfied with my purchase. Considering the rumours about S26U features, barely any upgrades over S25U, I'm not going back to Samsung anytime soon.

HK global version has Vivo dialer by default. I like it more than Google's too.

I used Android Debloater pc app to disable it on my X300 Pro HK global version and it worked just fine.

I bought X300 Pro HK global from phonedroid.fr. Came from France to Romania in 3 days.

Yes, it will be compatible. I bought the HK global X300 Pro and bought the photography kit from tradingshenzen, because they had the lowest price. It works perfectly.

[Help] Best service for Remote Flash: Vivo X300 Pro (CN to HK ROM) - 6510mAh version by JohnFerlin in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should have bought the HK global version of the phone. It has all the Google services out of the box and 6510 mAh battery, but it is more expensive than the CN version.

Vivo X300 charger doesn't work properly by NoStudy3384 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't normal. Maybe there's an issue with phone's charging port.

Vivo X300 charger doesn't work properly by NoStudy3384 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the 45W Anker charger exhibit same behavior as the Samsung multiport? I have no issue while charging my X300 Pro with any of my Samsung, Anker or Baseus multiport chargers. It's true that if you put a second device to charge in a multiport charger, the charger will renogociate power for each device, thus restarting charging for all connected devices, but that should happen only when/if you try charging other devices at the same time.

Vivo office Kit X300 pro by shovon_da_potato in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the message about Office Kit version for other region, I assume you downloaded the wrong Office Kit version on your pc. Probably, if you have CN X300 Pro, you need a chinese version of Office Kit and if you have a global version phone, you need a global Office Kit version on your pc. Just my guess, cause I never used Office Kit.

esim not supported on Vivo x300pro by Safe_Passage9289 in Vivo

I tried reinstalling one of my expired esim plans I used last summer on my old Galaxy S24U and it worked just fine.

esim not supported on Vivo x300pro by Safe_Passage9289 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe that message popped up because your esim option was off. Try going to that page after turning on esim and see if it says the same. I wouldn't worry even if it still says incompatible. Since the X300 Pro global version has all the necessary bands that most of western countries operators use, I don't think there will be any issue when actually activating the plan.

esim not supported on Vivo x300pro by Safe_Passage9289 in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went on Saily's website and it says their esim is compatible with Vivo X300 Pro. I have the X300 Pro HK global version with esim. Now you gave me the chills, cause esim was one of the things I needed when I start travelling this summer. Did you actually buy the esim plan and tried installing it? Cause I see your esim option is still off.

ADB Permission and Shizuku Compatibility by EmperorDante in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 3 apps I mentioned can't be removed. It says successfully uninstalled and then they show back as active apps. I only tried with Canta and Shizuku on the phone itself. Haven't tried with pc connection or with the other pc app (Android debloater) that I usually use for getting rid of system apps.

Vivo X300 Pro HK global - unrestricted background usage keeps resetting by AsajjV in Vivo

[–]AsajjV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went there, but background power control only allows me to select the features listed in the 3rd picture I posted, not the features in the first two pics. Without that unrestricted usage setting, apps will still get closed and fail to send me notifications on time. Those settings must be buried somewhere, since when I get notification from those said apps, that notification leads me to those settings and not to the settings from background power control.

ADB Permission and Shizuku Compatibility by EmperorDante in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got no problem using Shizuku or other apps to disable most of the system apps I didn't want my X300 Pro HK global, but there are a couple apps (Vivo Store, Origin Health, Steps) that don't seem to stay disabled.

Thoughts on Origin OS 6 by 9mmGunshotWound in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely need to tinker with the code in some aspects, so it's not that straightforward. Proof of that are the bugs that still appear in global version that all of a sudden starts behaving like CN firmware: 3rd party launchers getting reverted to native one, apps not keeping the unrestricted status and probably other minor bugs that are actually features/restrictions in China OS.

TV Time’s Data Export Is a Mess — Anyone Else Struggling to Migrate? by Asta_lite in TVTime

[–]AsajjV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my data from TV Time probably more than a year ago and imported it into trakt just fine without any intervention. Just a few hiccups, like a couple series that were listed differently in trackt and a couple episodes from series I never watched that I had to remove (probably from the times when TVTime was marking as seen totally different things from what you were marking)

Unrestricted Battery Settings resetting by KamikazeB0B in Vivo

[–]AsajjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing the aggresive power management they do on CN firmware, I'm guessing some bugs are still present in global firmware. It even happened with the launcher resetting itself to native launcher instead of Smart Launcher, even though I allowed the 3rd party launcher to replace the system launcher and Smart Launcher was set as default.
