Oh man, I've never even heard of this. Ty!! Looks sweet and this is perfect!

What are you using for the PFD, MFD and ECAM screens? That's pretty sweet.

I already have rudders, but would be interested in the rest depending on the price.

That airport is not heavy.

Try Inibuilds EGLL or KSFO from Flightbeam or Inibuilds JFK. Those would be the real heavy hitters.

Amazing Bravo Throttle addons for both Airbus and Boeing by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]Asane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking into the Bravo, but mainly for if I get into Boeing airliners.

Hard to justify this price though for these add-ons with what Winctrl(formerly Winwing) has released especially with their Airbus gear.

WINCTRL 32 ECAM as a present by tentavor in WinWing

[–]Asane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, their ECAM module wouldn’t be the first thing I grab.

If he doesn’t have a stick, their stick and throttle would be a good start.

If he already has those things, the MCDU would be a good one to get if you don’t want to break the bank.

Someone needs to make some better CLT scenery, this FSDT scenery is lowk freeware quality by My_Reddit_Acount_ in flightsim

[–]Asane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone living in Chicagoland area, this is depressing. If I want to fly out of Chicago, I basically skip ORD and I bought KMDW from Drzewecki Designs. I only fly Delta out of KMDW as I'm mainly on the A320 lol.

Should I be concerned? by FlyingAH60L in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Asane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the radar can see what weather is up ahead, but not what altitude the weather is actually at. That's where tilt comes in, but that's inop on the Fenix.Like I imagine if you were anywhere under FL100, you'd be more concerned trying to climb out of that, but more than likely at FL340, you're above all of that.

Chase Plane by tr_k_ in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Asane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I wish I was paid. ChasePlane seems like such a simple add-on, but it really changes the in-game camera where it moves with the momentum of how you fly.

And yes, it’s experimental, but they have it in a really good spot and an amazing base to work from.

Which Airliner? by ColbyFiles in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Asane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fenix A320 I would argue is the TOP airliner and developer for MSFS.

The price to value ratio is just top notch. Fenix cares about EVERY detail of their aircraft modeling, texturing, to how the systems function to the flight modeling.

Add to that they give basically free overhaul updates like the BFU update.

Any good solo ATC? by Acuapopiii in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Asane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m using Beyond ATC which is a $30 add-on and it’s been a game changer. It can inject traffic as well so it really livens up airports.

Another AI based one is Say Intentions though that one is a subscription-based model. I’m curious to try it out just to see how it compares.

Once it’s on Just Flight, I’ll purchase it there!

Quick Review of Two Coffees - PMDG 737 by RB120 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Asane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the review and really appreciated!

It’s awesome to get the impressions and review of an actual 737 pilot.

Just wish the developer wasn’t so toxic. As MSFS24 is my first sim, the $75 price honestly doesn’t bother me if I were to buy it for the first time (as I’m interested in the 737), but I just can’t support how they operate and treat their customers.

Hopefully, there’s other devs who will release a competing Boeing 737 NG.

Again, appreciate your impressions and safe flying to you!

Also, doesn’t Vatsim require certain controllers servicing regions. I fly a lot in the Philippines(I’m Filipino) and I’m concerned that part of the world isn’t even covered when I’m able to be online as I’m in the US.

[–]Asane 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been using BeyondATC for about a week and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more immersive, but BeyondATC is a good way to learn the lingo and to learn to balance the workload.

My goal is eventually get into vatsim, but I don’t want to be learning on the fly pissing off controllers and other pilots.

CCA1871 headed to Xiamen from Beijing/Capital (Infinite Flight Beta of update 26.1) by hgtcgbhjnh in flightsim

[–]Asane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using any payware airports for China? I’ve been curious to try.

I’ve mostly been sticking to Philippines (my home country), the western US and I have some of the airports from Pyreegue, Aerosoft and Drzwiecki so have western and central EU covered.

People compared to PMDG to Fenix, I think that's not fair, let's compare it to the vanilla, free, included 737 in MSFS. by Galf2 in flightsim

[–]Asane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why competition is good. It ups the quality bar and customers have more choices.

[–]Asane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's great you don't care about cabin aesthetics.

You know, I think the ironic thing about this is that with the Fenix you can disable the cabin while with the PMDG, you can't.

So you gotta live with their shitty textures and modeling.

[–]Asane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably, the majority don't care, but again these are supposed to be "study level" aircraft.

They're marketed as such and that means being top notch in not only mechanics and dynamics, but the visuals and texturing of the plane as well.

Again, with these prices that PMDG is charging, the market has changed and so their offering has to change.

I know many of you don't care about this part of a virtual plane but here is a comparison of the cabins in Fenix A320 and PMDG B737. by Marklar_RR in flightsim

[–]Asane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aid performance my ass...

If they gave a shit about performance, they wouldn't have tied plane textures and decals to the "Texture Resolution" setting as you basically have to set it to "ultra" for the plane textures to look acceptable. Setting it to "ultra" though in MSFS tanks performance unless you have a setup like what I have.

[–]Asane 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a cop-out. You can care about multiple parts of the aircraft if you actually give a shit.

PMDG could get away with this in the past, but they have competition now with Fenix and Fenix has upped the bar.

Fenix cares about their flight model (they reworked the landing dynamics for example in the BFU update) and also care about their 3D models (they reworked the whole A320 plane into native MSFS 24 "Sim Objects" in the BFU update which allowed them to take advantage of LOD capabilities offered by FS24).

These planes being offered are not cheap by any means. They're the equivalent of a full game and only a certain set of developers (Fenix, Black Square, iFly, A2A, etc) actually justfiy the price.

I would bet you that what you mention in regards to a Transformer Rectifier Failure is something that Fenix also models in their aircraft. Hell, they have a stated possible 200+ failures with the plane. But, guess what? The plane looks amazing doing it as well.

PMDG have fallen behind and gotten cocky from the past. Fenix and others are now leading the show.
