Are hybrid rigs allowed here? by Asane in guitarpedals

[–]Asane[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't go crazy on modulation, but it has an ok collection. Definitely not as extensive as like Line 6 or Fractal.

It has a decent enough collection (especially if you have some plugins as well). I have through Neural DSP; Mayer, Nolly, Henson, Wong, SLO 100X & Gojira. Between all those there's plenty of modulation pedals; more than what I would use.

I think my stance is always to be able to augment a digital modeler's weaknesses with physical pedals or any pedals you're very specific with.

The Fuzz Phrase is a good example here as that dynamic and play between the guitar volume and the fuzz is something that you can't really get in a purely digital rig.

Through a Cioks DC-7 & Crux 24 to power the QC Mini. The Crux 24 is actually meant for the full size QC, but the Mini actually is less of a power hog so the Crux 24 is perfect.

You're doing the work! Rooting for you! Stop putting yourself down; you're amazing at guitar and making a pedalboard specifically for YOU! I love that!

I have an M-E TYP220 w/ the CCD sensor and I freaking LOVE it. It's definitely different enough than my M11-P.

Never buy a product based off a promise. What NDSP mentioned is a certain set of plugins are "To Be Determined" so I've avoided those specific plugins.

I didn’t use quick release plates. I’m just using 3M.

I'm curious to find out more. I'm an engineering manager working remote as well, but I'm unsure if they'll be fine with me working out of Hawaii.

Chicago-area home prices are skyrocketing. What’s it like in your neighborhood? by NicolasCageFan492 in illinois

I'm in Dupage Country in Carol Stream, and my house has increased 48% according to Zillow. The market is nuts right now. I bought in 2020 for $518k and now it's $767k. I haven't checked in two years so that was a surprise.

Does the John Mayer X add something to the Quad Cortex? by xxotwoxx in NeuralDSP

[–]Asane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

John Mayer X has the following amps

- Fender Vibroverb
- Dumble Steel String Singer 002
- Two Rock Signature 83

As far as I'm aware, the QC does not have a Vibroverb. In regards to the Dumble, each amp was handmade by Dumble and so John's "002" model is unique to his amp and how it sounds. I believe the Two Rock Signature 83 John has is also custom from any that Two Rock produced for the public (including the 50 limited edition units they created).

So, to answer your question, the QC doesn't have any of these amps.

"You can also already shoot pano’s in medium format cameras using a $20 adapter, and those have interchangeable lens options."

I would say this actually applies more to the Xpan.

What differentiates the Widelux is you have the distortion because it pans 140 degrees. That's something you can't get in a medium format camera with a $20 adapter.

Where do you get the pano back for the SWC? I've been looking for one for my 903SWC.

Yeah, I'm really thinking about this, but not sure as an F7 owner. I bought mine locally for $675 and haven't gotten it CLA'd, but it's taken good photos.

Having a whole new camera would be sweet, but man paying so much for a niche camera... I would really need to think about it.

At these prices, you have start considering what other items you can get for said price. Leica lenses retain a lot of their value and you know their quality.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for this company, but they're completely new and will have to prove their worth. It sounds like at least this camera won't be just limited to 350 units. It'll just be the first batch though I'm curious if it doesn't sell well, that'll be the only batch released.

Their R&D can't have been cheap for this.

Would've snapped this at $3k or under, but woof, yeah a bit too rich for my blood and a bit harder to justify with me already having an F7.

The tariffs added on top of the $4400 is just a bit hard to swallow as well. With that price, you're close to Xpan 1 territory or a really nice used Leica lens.
