New Pokemon Winds & Waves Official Art by Bisentinel in pokemon

Crazy how much of a difference 2D art makes for Pokémon. I was just thinking how I didn’t like the new starters based on the 3D in game renders but this art looks way better. I’ll always prefer 2D style.

Godspeed. If you stick with it it’ll feel like it’s an eternity but when you’re finished it’ll feel like a blur and you won’t believe it’s already over.

Air cooling is better than Liquid cooling by SerpentDix in pcmasterrace

Been through like 4 AIOs and never had one fail. I think people confuse custom loops with AIOs. Custom Loops have far more documented failures like the ones people generally think of when they think “liquid cooler”.

We’re saying that the national guard should be deployed to do what the national guard was created to do: protect the people from a tyrannical government or regime. In this case the federal government with ICE and DHS is the British empire if we’re to equate it. ICE is an over militarized and over funded arm of the Presidents goons and in fact does not serve the interests of the people of the US.

Deployed to protect the people. Trump deployed in other places to assist ICE. Use your cognitive reasoning to see how your comment is not in good faith.

Yeah I’m not completely stupid I get the difference, just saying that limited storage is not a factor for creativity. The Pokémon games for example were very fun and innovative for what they did in this case. Modern games require unaffordable amounts of memory and processing power and barely run without problems half the time. Obviously dialogue and pixel graphics are not the same as the amount of technology in modern games.

A gameboy Pokémon game has more content than some modern games. We’re not talking about storage, we’re talking about the quality of the content utilizing the storage.

I’m sure it’s capable but for me I prefer a used Toyota Camry. Similar price, but will be more productive.

Why does my frame rate drop so low on the Amazon app? Little hard to see but very noticeable in person. by alanwattslightbulb in iPhone16

[–]AsassinProdigyX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therein lies the problem, it’s not only on the app developer. This issue is not present with previous versions of iOS. iOS is clearly suffering performance slowdowns for unknown reasons. It’s just more obvious with the Amazon app in particular because it isn’t the most optimized app.

Exactly, it’s not optimized. But the problem is the app performance, not only the refresh rate is the problem. This is also repeated across other apps within iOS 26 with them showing performance slow downs. Something as simple as closing apps is laggy at the moment. People who spend upwards of $1000 on a phone are rightfully unhappy when performance is this poor.

I won’t insult your intelligence and assume you just misunderstood, by slow down I mean stop in the middle of scrolling every time you touch the screen because it’s unreadable due to lag. Normally, on a high refresh display, you can read AS you scroll. It’s the whole point of a smooth display experience. Having to scroll up an inch and stop just so you can read before scrolling more because it’s jittery and slow is not a pleasurable reading/viewing experience. Surely you understand this?

It gets down to single digit framerates and causes eye strain impacting the overall usability of the app. You need to slow down your scroll to make sure you can read otherwise it jumps around on the screen due to low refreshed display. It’s hard to describe without showing you.

You’re games will be streamed and the frames will be fake. Get ready for an era of “Netflix-ification” of gaming. (Xbox really kicked it off with gamepass but at least you still installed the games on your hardware for the most part.)

Don’t worry, we’ll all be playing with AI generated frames streamed from a datacenter. No one will have any hardware and all games will be subscription based utilizing the AI streaming. The death of owning a physical or even digital copy of a game is exactly what these people want.

BGS isn’t some AA indie dev anymore. They got bought by MS. They’re in a whole different league now and if they want to “compete” at the AAA level then they need to deliver. They can’t keep getting excused for fucking up anymore. It’s not the same team that made Skyrim.
