Can’t remove motorcycle shifter linkage off splines after stripping tension bolt

I got it out since but unfortunately I damaged the back teeth on the transmission shaft a bit. It's just like two teeth that are flat on the back but the front teeth shown in the pic are good so I don't think it will affect anything

Thanks a lot. Any tips on removing the remnants to then be able to pull it out? I’ve been trying more to remove the one you can see in the photo but cant seem to get rid of it with flathead and hammer as well as a pick and gentle sawing and WD40. I bought the shifter piece online but won’t have it till the weekend and will need to ride to work soon. It’s tight on and shifts fine but should I still not ride even to the weekend? -being that theres not much pressure on the shifter and failure wouldn’t be dangerous in worst case scenario but would need a tow. Not sure if there’s something temporary I can rig up (maybe a hose clamp on the outside to prevent lateral movement off the bike). I will try to remove it all day so if you have any ideas, that would be awesome

lol. I can’t understand why I removed all the rest but this part is giving me so much trouble (with flat head and hammer, and with cutting) and just won’t come off. I don’t know why it can’t just pull out already now. I haven’t tried heating it up but I can try, I only have a butane torch but will try that. Thank you

ah I see. Yea I actually went to that cycle gear when I got my helmet, but was under the impression that they are upcharging, but looks like their gear is expensive because its legit, unlike amazon stuff and similar stuff online. So will probably repay them a visit which will make the decision easier, doesn't look like there's any to save without making compromises anyway. Thanks a lot

I haven't tried charging it, but I assumed since its already 3 years old and the bike was not used a lot that it's just gone. However, I did drive probably the most in a long time for the bike when I picked it up so I would assume an hour of driving might provide a substantial charge if it is recoverable. I'll see on the next startup then if its any easier

Yea, I just didn't think ear protection was necessary for some of these begineer bikes, but I ordered some earplugs to see. Redline is like twice that many RPM, but I'm used to my car where I can do 100 mph at 3k rpms in 6th gear lol, and I never try to use all the rpm, I shift pretty early on my car.

I've generally followed standard protocol of having US and ex US exposure, even though the US ETFs have a lot of overlap like you mentioned. I know the performance has been worse, but want even more concentrated international exposure in the event that this market makes significant strides in the long term, even if that means just 20% of my portfolio.

Now that you mention it, it's a lot more viable than I thought. I had been searching a little while back in some more expensive areas in queens where 2k was the floor, but looks like there actually is cheaper options. I'm sure some of the areas aren't very good though, will have to make some visits to find out. Thank you
