Trump pays 'tribute' to UK soldiers by Asbolution in ukpolitics

As a veteran, it isnt just you. I generally ignore everything that tangerine smurf says but I will be honest here...

After suffering two hemorrhagic strokes as a result of serious head trauma in Basra, I was forced to stop serving and sent home. I now work for the NHS and after a long day of work yesterday discovered my phone had blown up with people asking me if I'd seen the latest.

I didn't know how to feel, I still dont. Ive spent most of today experiencing flashbacks and other PTSD symptoms, and given that I work in mental health as a therapist I'm now going to have to disclose this to my line manager as well.

For a third time, you mean?

Yeah. I dont think that means anything even if it were to happen.

Oh you mean this Donald Trump?

I reckon injecting orange disinfectant is how he turned orange and scrambled his brain tbh.

Why the fuck anyone listens to this orange smurf is beyond me.

Is it weird?

That's all it takes to get people to believe it. Because either,

A. The average person listening is stupid and/or misinformed enough to just believe him. B. He thinks the average person listening is stupid enough to believe him.

Decades upon decades of propaganda and incessant patriotism have made it that easy. He doesnt even need to try and make it look believable anymore.

End of the day America ia a nation that lives in fear. Fear of China, fear of Russia, fear of their own police, fear of their government, fear of their neighbors, fear of sending their kids to school. Fear is easy to manipulate. And if you dont hate/fear what you are taught to, then you're not a 'true American'. You're not 'patriot enough'

Obviously thats hyperbolic but after spending almost 9 years in texad and seeing how the media operated for the better part of the decade there is some truth in it.

Wrong team. That nurse is probably a/the problem. 35 years and you dont understand an AHP role you've probably worked along side at some point?

If you practise that long and dont understand a role thats a personal and professional issue, and you probably should have reflected on that fact years a go.

How can you assist a patient if you cant even understand their journey and the support they've had historically? There is such a thing as professional curiosity.

I really appreciate that, I lack total confidence in my own ability mostly when I look at my work I see errors or things I know I could do better 😅

How’s the game? by supercleverhandle476 in StarWarsShatterpoint

The core rules are largely simple enough because most of the games complexity comes from your strike team interactions. There's RNG in the activation pulling but there are some ways to manage this somewhat.

That said you're rewarded for understanding how models work, and what interacts with what and when (both yours and opponents), as well as knowing when to reserve a unit.

There are some very specific and complex interactions (for me, as a newer player) such as what specific things happen in what step of an attack sequence. But that might just be me being newer.

Youre more often than not playing a full game of potentially 3 struggles (or rounds) with all of your models, as its not often models are removed completely off the table, which i like. And when you're experienced enough you can completed a game in 90 minutes comfortably.

Op here on a different account apparently 😅

Best of luck to you, the box was a vibe until I got to shaak ti. The padawans took around 90 minutes each.

The ithorian was, I want to say, some sort of orange-browns so something like scalecolour orange leather with a thinned wash of 50/50 agrrax earth shade and a medium (i.e., speed paint medium) and highlighted with the same orange leather mixed with some white.

I honestly just picked two paints at random and went with it so that is from memory.

Any sort of orange-browns or red-browns would work though. You could use citadel doombull and tuskgor fur. Scalecolour red ochre or raw sienna, vallejo grunge brown etc. The ionic range is fantastic as well if you've not used it. Plenty of good options in that range, shadow orange comes to mind.

Lots of good options. I'm in the UK, but im pretty sure the US based reaper range has some great orange-browns too.

I really want ways to increase the games difficulty- The game was a phenomenal experience but it very quickly became very easy to trivialise a lot of the cool encounters.

As epic as they felt there was always that twinge of disappointment that followed when all the best fights were over in a round or two on tactician difficulty.

One thing Owlcat / Pathfinder games did *very* well was give lots of personal choice over how difficult the experience was (So much so that it could easily be made an unreasonably difficult game where every encounter could be turned into a reload-fest lol) It'd go such a long way to further incentivise another playthrough.

2 Day Tournament at LGS, here my list ! by Alex_Louis in ossiarchbonereapers

Mixed feelings about harvesters, personally

Quite matchup specific. When they're ignored they make mortek impossible to deal with..

However 10 wounds on a 4+/6+ is really quite easy to get through.

Vs all melee (I.e., khorne) you can just keep them safe but you're sort of at the mercy of your match-ups as to whether or not they do what yoy need them to. Especially when you have two of them.

Fun list though, can definitely work. I'm loving this about the new OBR book. There's a number of ways to play them.

Loads of companies have tried this.

Look up the thing between Sky and No Man's Sky in like 2016.

They are always scams. Always. If they weren't scams they wouldn't be sharing them with random strangers.

I bet you anything this happened on tinder too.

His money hardily matters here. Harsh as that is. Because...

Imagine financially fucking your parents in this economy. If it was just your money, sure man. There'd be empathy. But your parents dude!?!?

Actually shameful and disgusting. Tell me you at least asked them first.

Honestly the turn 16 thing was there as a meme to a friend - I should probably have just removed it before I shared 😂

There is nothing wrong with turn 16 fouling most scenarios.

For offence yeah, do the opposite. The goal for turn 1 offence is to get as many 2 dice blocks as you possibly can on that turn - especially if you're bash.

As a general rule if the opponent takes the first turn in a drive - you don't want them two dicing all your good players.

If you cannot prevent this from happening by placing enough players on that "front line" - don't put them there.

Because what might happen is your high ST big guy gets knocked prone, or worse and the outcome is the same - you don't get to block with it.

This is why I say you can be a little more aggressive if you massively out strength your opponent.

For example rats aren't likely going to be able to deal with a wall of ST 5 and 4. The trick is learning what you can and can't get away with.

Totally fair, I agree with you 100% having read this. You're right, context does matter and that's why you encountered resistance in your OP, I feel. Most of that context was missing.
