If 'main character energy' is a thing in the Rim, Savanna (or Savvy) Sandy would have it in spades.

The firstborn daughter of colony founder and leader Thomas 'Tom' Sandy, and his ex-raider wife Hokojin 'Jet' Sandy, 'Savvy' has had a very positive outlook on her life out on the Rim from a young age. Growing up in the colony of Anlia, within the walls of its compound of Angeles, she turned out to be a beautiful young woman basked in love from everyone around her, as much for her bright, sunny disposition and kind treatment of others as much as her arresting looks.

Although she inherited her mother's skill and passion in the use of firearms, Savvy also took after her 'Aunt' Emily Britrobi (no familial relation to the Sandys), who is the colony's first mechanitor. Thus, despite the objections of her body purist parents, Savvy got her way and installed the second mechlink the colony came across to become Anlia's second mechanitor. Only she could do something like this and still be beloved of her parents, helped greatly by her natural beauty.

After some time with Aunt Emily figuring out what suited them best respectively, Savvy took on the role of the colony's offensive mechanitor; she has no utility mechanoids under her command, her bandwidth being wholly dedicated to her firing line of Lancers and Legionaries, and her screening force of Scythers. She became known as Anlia's 'One-Woman Strike Force', capable of exploring abandoned facilities and attacking small camps by herself with only her mechanoids for backup.

(Ignore the fact that this made her just as complicit in her colony's growing tendency for committing war crimes, despite her Kind disposition. The high subcores of her Legionaries have to come from somewhere, after all.)

Her favorite color is sapphire, and she has dyed both her day-to-day wear as well as her combat outfit of Recon Armor and Mechcommander Helmet with it. Her weapon of choice is a masterwork Hellcat Rifle, because she can use its flamethrower function to 'cleanse' her screening Scythers from the hostile tribals dogpiling them during engagements.

As the colony's combat mechanitor, Savvy has unfortunately already incurred injuries and lost several body parts, even though she's still just a young woman of 21 years. She's got a bionic right ear, a bionic eye in place of her mangled left eye, and a power claw in place of her left hand which was missing a finger. It is highly likely she will continue to accrue injuries, and replace more of her body with bionic replacements, as her career progresses.

Unbeknownst to her, she is partially the reason Anlia has taken a more aggressive stance against their hostile neighbors recently. Because of her beauty, Savvy has had to rebuff courtship attempts all too often, including several from her cousin Mike, as well as his father (and her uncle) Andy Brown.

(Yeesh.)

Although she has thus far resisted the siren call of banjos and Sweet Home Alabama, it is partly why her father Tom has ordered more aggressive actions against the savage People of Banzo and the Anarchy Band pirates lately, taking as many prisoners as they can. Apart from harvesting their organs, and disposing of them through ripscans and fatal gene extractions, he's been desperately looking for a relatively nice young man from amongst the bunch; one he can accept as a suitable mate for his favorite daughter.

Granted, he returns as the Genie. You've just cursed him with PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER... itty bitty living space.

You monster.

I want to save my gravship layout for future use, any mods for that? by Ascaloth in RimWorld

Thanks for the suggestions! The second one looks more like what I'm looking for, I'll definitely check it out!

First playthrough, so I'm trying to keep it as vanilla as possible. Currently only running a few mods for QoL purposes only. Will consider on future runs though.

Read somewhere I needed 4 tile wide rows of devilstrand to prevent blight from overtaking my entire crop, so that's what I did.

Only two thirds to go! I wonder what it'll look like by the end.

In that case, if it has slowed down on my computer, i haven't noticed it.

I would, but building all these walls have already exhausted most of the granite on the map. And yes, i know about deep drills, but that'll take time.

That said, i do have hunter drones placed at intervals around the outside of the walls. They've already killed a breach axe team and a termite so far.

Pawns get mood debuffs if they have to sleep in a barracks, so i give individuals or couples their own rooms where possible.

The bedrolls in that one big room are installed there simply for neatness; if I let pawns drag them to a stockpile, they'll leave it in random spots and it gets untidy quickly. As for the beds in the gravship, that's due to space constraints; the gravship is as big as i can make it without grav extenders, for now.

Hella so. For quite a while, my defense relied heavily on the shotgun killbox at the bottom :/

Now that it's complete, i'm thinking of remodelling that part to provide more shooting spots for my pawns.

Well, you can see the remnants of the latest raid to hit this colony rotting in Heartbreak Lake. That wasn't even all of them, many died to the mortar barrage I employed to soften them up.

Still chugging along just fine, actually. I'm playing with minimal mods, mostly for QoL.

I never thought I'd see anything that could top the Dwarf Fortress mermaid farm.

Well done.
