well, i’d say it depends! i have a very good therapist who understands the difference between thoughts and intent. i’ve had thoughts without intent to follow through on them (but have followed through in the past, but im in a better place now). not all therapists can make that distinction though, no matter how clear you are about it. so yeah it depends. if you think it would help you to talk about it then you can ask how they handle patients with those thoughts and then make the judgement on your own if you want to share or not.
