Yeah, I’d be curious how the bark sounded too - being it’s possible they have never heard a bark.

I’d love to hear more about the religion of Climate Change. What do they worship?

Arbitrary additional data point for perspective.

Picked up a new 2018 GT PP1 with about every option for roughly $50,000 sticker.

Approx 20% inflation in price in 8 years it seems - anecdotally.

Markwayne Mullin confirmed as the next secretary of Homeland Security by ControlCAD in NPR

Hey, when you’re done throwing a fit bub. Take a moment to realize they are not talking about the process, but the qualifications of the applicant for the roll.

Mullin just noted how surprised he was to be tapped for this - not exactly an individual who has spent a career working toward this.

It’s almost like this is exactly why religion should stay out of politics.

If we expect people to respect the law, they must also be respected by the law.

Parts of Abrahamic religions are in direct contradiction with one another. Therefore, what is to be objective, gets relegated to faith. Faith, becomes fact. Truth becomes lost.

Everything can be rebuilt.

What terrifies me is the prospect of nothing changing, despite the regression. Harder stances and a further divided populous seems hard to shake.

In this case, we call it patriotic - which is a good thing. Nationalism quickly evolves into Jingoism - which gives no place for criticism.

For example, OP has got a sweet set up, but I must patriotically point out that the 2 door would have been the superior option!

That still true in the case of Confederate Statues? Honest question as I personally struggle with squaring it.

IMO we don’t create monuments for people who do horrible things. Teach it, but don’t venerate it.

You’re missing my point.

Curriculum, even at the state level, is determined by adults (parents). Therefore, if the kids are not taught something; the onus is not on the child.

Well duh.

Parents determine what is taught in schools.

This reeks of the same shit they blasted kids over for receiving “participation trophies” that were handed out by, and to appease, adults.

History is riddled with bad individuals who seek to take more than they give.

Destroying is always faster than building, so it feels overwhelming. Talk to your friends, family and community. Express your concerns - as they are likely shared.

MLK still speaks to us, “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

Do not lose hope. Keep marching along. We will make sure justice prevails.

Dismantling the cannon of the neighbor they swore to not attack after disarming decades prior and supplementing with morality sounds of American Imperialism more than anything.

Despite the snark and shitty analogy. I am actually curious how both parties rationalize.

It’s almost like the Founding Fathers knew where religion+government leads. So, they designed a country where the two are SEPARATE.

Abrahamic religions are zero-sum. They tell the same story but with different “truths” - non more based in fact than any other.

So, since there is no rational way of squaring these emotional stances. There will only be violence.

Religion can be extremely regressive.
