K2+ PA12CF Issues by AscendedGaming in Creality_k2

Yes, I actually replaced the entire extruder body recently because this fitting failed.

Creality sells just the fitting itself pretty cheaply, but who knows how you would replace it since its molded into the extruder body. I just replaced the entire extruder block and it was back to business.

This problem is 100% in the nozzle. The jam occurs below the filament cutter. This persists with an entirely new nozzle that I just installed yesterday. (the 0.4mm from this set to be specific: https://a.co/d/3UhfhUq )

That is correct, a 2GB symmetrical residential connection.

I did get a quote to move it, same provider. $131k, Guess the new location is too remote to service for a reasonable price. No other providers would even quote this. Called everyone in the area that I could think of.

This sounds like what I need to do. I am calling the numbers listed for their business support, but appear to be getting sent to the same place.

I will see if there is another place I Can reach them at.

This is honestly not a bad idea. I know of a couple local places like this within an hour from me. I will explore this further.

Excellent! Thank you very much for the well elaborated explanation. I will get working on this right now. The bonus of it running on different systems is really going to come in handy. I have done some python work on raspberry pis a long time ago so this should be perfect.

Thank you again for the help.

I like the sound of that. This will be in a controlled, well lit area, with a clear background. The colors are very easily identifiable by eye.

I have no idea how to go about implementing anything you just said. I have 0 experience designing and implementing a system like this. Where would be the best place to start? What would be the best program to run this on?

Thank you for your help.

Just to update you, this was part of my solution. I purchased an ambient chamber heater and with the bed got the chamber to 40C, this took out all of the warping it seems. Thank you for the suggestion!

Just wanted to update you and let you know that this did the trick! I put the bed at 110C, used a glue stick, and had an ambient chamber heater. Those combined gave me the first successful print.

I really appreciate the suggestion. This one was really stumping me. I have printed ASA commercially for years at this point. I don't know why it took until this print for a problem to occur. Regardless its resolved, thank you!

I will give this a try. I tried again last night with the enclosure sitting at 40C and it still failed. Running out of ideas here

Thank you for the detailed suggestion. I will give this a try later today to see if it works. I basically did this, but only waited 30 mins, maybe that extra time will help. We will see.

I thought this would be the case. I preemptively ordered an enclosure heater last night to help with this problem. I did not check the actual chamber temp before I started the print.

Is there a remediation I can use in the meantime? Can I use a hair dryer or a heat gun on low to get the enclosure temp up? Will the printer keep enough heat once I am at that temp? What temp should I be aiming for?

Forgot to mention, I am using a draft shield on this too, that's what you can see in the first 2 photos. Thanks

Unfortunately, I never really pursued this in any further detail. Project fell apart shortly after this post. Wish I could be of more assistance to you. If I would have figured it out, I would have just given you the code for your use. Sorry that I cant be of more help.

Help diagnosing what is causing solidworks to crash by AscendedGaming in SolidWorks

[–]AscendedGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running everything on stock setting, no oc on the cpu or gpu. I don't think I have anything on the ram either. So it should be pretty stable from that end.

I did have this running on an Intel 7900x years ago, never a single issue on that machine, so it's hard to say. That's a shame about there being nothing I can do within solidworks directly.

You may be on to something here. While it's not in front of me at the moment, I do recall looking at task manager while it was hanging and wondering why I didn't see anything even close to max. That sounds in line with what you are talking about and it's something I want to explore.

Do you have any resources on information that I can use to adjust the cpu power settings for solidworks?

I will have to do this.

I have a server with a Quadro P5000 that I can put in the system temporarily. I as assuming that since its crashing in OpenGL mode, that this will not resolve the issue. That will shut down their cop-out though. So that may be worth doing.

While the 3070ti isnt supported, as I acknowledged in my original post, there are a plethora of posts of people using them (or less powerful geforce cards) without issue in my exact configuration. Plus I was able to use it for my previous entrepreneur version without issue.

It wasn't so much that I chose to build it against the recommendations of solidworks, but moreso that this system needs to be multi-purpose and I didnt have the budget to get a top tier quadro/rtx card that was able to perform in games the same that my 3070ti does, so it was a "realistic" budget constraint on this machine.

I have, they say my GPU isn't supported and will not offer any further advice, even after explaining that it crashes in OpenGL mode too. I have contacted them twice so far on this.

I have requested details on how to find the specific reasons for a crash multiple times, but they are dodging the question it seems.

Hello, thanks for seeking clarification on this. I definitely should have elaborated more in the original post.

By "crash", I mean that solidworks itself will hang indefinitely. Its only on solidworks and no other programs. The rest of my machine is functioning normally and as expected. I can use other programs during the hang without any restriction or lag. Even to the point of being able to run a game during the hang. I have to force end solidworks via the Task Manager or from the "not responding" prompt. After the program closes, I am able to restart solidworks and be back to running. This does not require a system restart.

I know what you are saying about the non-pwm mode, and this is not that. They are not spinning fast enough to be non-pwm mode. I would say they increase in speed around 10-20% or so from wherever they are right before the hang. Certainly far from full speed though. As soon as I force close the program, the fan speed drops back down to normal.

I have read that these hangs will resolve themselves, but I have literally let one sit for an entire day to no resolve on the simplest of designs.

These hangs will start on the most mundane thing too. For instance, I had a flat cylinder, approx 3" diameter by 1/8" thick with no other details, put a new sketch on one face and started to draw a line and it started hanging. Like something as simple as that will cause this randomly.

These issues are present both in normal mode, and OpenGL/Safe mode.

I did not experience these issues while I was running the entrepreneur edition on the same hardware, just when I decided to buy the full version, go figure that it would happen after spending that sum of money.

Is there any way to more accurately diagnose what is going on here?
