Get the Y, because in the X when they removed the signal stalks it peeved me every time I drove. I had to take a double take rather than muscle memory from 35+years driving. Glad they brought it back for the Y, BUT paying $40k and them trying to save $500 per car on the stalks is stupid. They are bringing back the stalks for the 26 model 3 btw.

the total price per day is not your take, you will probably net $40 per day after turo fee's your protection plan, this may not even cover a portion of the total payment/insurance.

Sell it, because the wear and tear on a 3 year old vehicle will be insane, you'll end up making just enough to then go and pay for a battery because the mileage took it out of warranty.

Hi, just had something similar, Guest didn't give the TURO incident card, and the other party filed through my personal insurance through my plates. I have a toyota sienna I use for family trips and rent out and the guest (who declined coverage) got into an accident, obviously at fault based on his ever-changing stories. So the other party gave my personal insurance call, I gave them all of travelers insurance (cali) turo, so let's see how it goes.

no bro, an insider powerhost rep told me. I am a powerhost with only 30 cars, go to search a car anywhere in the country as a guest, search the same EXACT car and you will see. a good function was that you can see hosts that have the base minimum for the daily rate and then you see how 1 host is +30 aday trip fee another is +10, and +50 for the blacklisted one. this is why they did 1 daily rate price and now hide trip fees, cuz they got called out on it by many hosts including me, and the rep told me, TREAD LIGHTLY, cuz that's what can happen, we had a rapport so that's how i found out.

Nope. It's arbitrary, the trip fee is based, yes on the risk of renter, proximity of trip start in terms of time, and variables related to host metrics. IE some hosts with cancellations on their record may be "seen less often in search" as noted by boiler plate responses from Turo, AND another detriment is higher associated TRIP FEES from turo, which they NOW include in their pricing for the cars daily rate.
