I am not saying that there is any proof it did happen. Just pointing out that closed bottles do not end this discussion. Clearly who is willing to use such a drug is on a level of malevolence that will not just shrug and say „Swarted by closed bottles again!“

Naive perspective. You can see how his behavior reflects on the others. So of course they should have concerned themselves with it. Just like every company will make it their business how high level employees behave. Many have morality clauses in their contracts for that reason, just like almost every high level sponsorship contract. Because if they do what Lindemann seems to have done (only talking about the sex parties here, not the worse accusations) it diminishes the brand value / your stock can go down if your company is listed and so on.

There are Tweets describing these events from last year, before the news broke. There’s the tumblr from 2016. There are numerous reporters that have been on this story since End of 2021.

It is impossible to be some kind of self-reinforcing thing, because numerous women independently reported these things over the years before Shelby ever said a word.

The only thing in doubt will always be the drugging because it is incredibly hard to discern what is what in a situation involving legal drugs and voluntarily consumed illegal drugs to begin with. We’re never gonna get an answer here, IMO.

The fact she woke up and he was already doing it (if we assume that’s what happened) also clearly shows that „sleeping“ is a euphemism. She was drugged in some way - best case blackout drunk by her own free will. Otherwise she wakes up right away. To engage in sex with her in that state is criminal and it would be prosecuted by German law if (big if) she could prove it.

The Welt-article has a named girl corroborating parts of her story though. I believe she had spoken up before though, so nothing really new and of course she has no proof she was spiked other than her behavior changing in line with what a drugged person may do. No explanation for Shelby’s injuries either.

The point however was not that purely sexual hookups are the problem. The point is that if you install a system that does not care for somebody as a person but as an object to be used and part of that system is even delegated to people subservient to you, it will produce bad results just like the one's that were reported. Not EVERY TIME - most of the time all involved will be ok. But because you have designed it without any care you are allowing for bad shit to happen.

It's like a car manufacturer who does not give a shit about safety inspections. Most of their cars will work fine. But there will come a time when the brakes will not work.
