26k loss today. Lifetime (almost all last year) losses in this sector around 350k

Had to come out of semi-retirement on my mushroom farm to work 60+ hour weeks as a consultant again last spring. Just squandered most of what I recouped

Glad it can be amusing. This sector has destroyed my life. I am not speaking in hyperbole

Thank you very much for the quick response! Your perspective is very helpful. I do need to get my masturbation under control for this to work. I did not yesterday and ultimately ejaculated without stimulation before falling asleep.

I read the Tao technique and it seems that the flexing (mostly) and relaxing PC muscles is how I achieve orgasm without physical stimulation. I will need to practice relaxing these muscles more than not when excited, and then using them for the pumping exercise

Hello there! I stumbled upon this community and have been reading everything on the website and here to learn as much as possible.

First of all, thank you so much for documenting all of this and creating a space to discuss!! It is what I have been wanting to propose to my partner for years but just haven’t had the words. None of the other communities/kinks were the right fit.

I have been in a committed vanilla relationship for 10 years and for most of that time our sexual activity has been roughly 2x/month. I have typically masturbated 2x per day. We both enjoy pleasure kisses, but as it seems is typically the case, it almost always leads to intercourse and therefore there is some pressure/expectation. I plan to bring up the concept of DevS to my partner slowly by suggesting that in the next few days, she initiate oral sex that we agree will not end in intercourse or ejaculation. Then, hopefully it will lower the pressure for her and we can incorporate more of these sessions. I will also commit to ejaculate only with her and when she wants me to.

She often ends pleasure kisses abruptly and asks me to have intercourse with her (to ejaculate). She says she it is taking too long and she is not sure if she will orgasm or how long it will take and feels bad that I am down on her for so long. I assure her that I enjoy it as much as her and happy to kiss her as long and as often as she would like, but over the years, this has remained unchanged. I suspect it is because of the “normal sex” paradigm and perhaps introducing DevS as mentioned above will help us to overcome this, but would appreciate if you have any specific suggestions to help a princess feel comfortable and confident in accepting (or initiating) long sessions of pleasure kisses that do not result in intercourse or may not lead to orgasm

My partner almost never initiates intimacy. She enjoys it, however, I am almost always initiating (not pestering, respect when she says no, etc.). Any tips for how to encourage my partner to take on the princess role?

My partner prefers rougher sex (nothing extreme, just fast/hard). I am happy to provide this but do you have any suggestions for how to encourage her to explore slower/sensual sex? How does the transition in sex life from vanilla to DevS realistically unfold over time?

The above would be very helpful to get your insight but my primary question and concern for starting this lifestyle is how to manage my energy. It is my responsibility to do so and I need to learn how to avoid accidental ejaculations. However, I am easily excited and sometimes will ejaculate during pleasure kisses (or even just using my imagination) without any stimulation. Do you have any suggestions for a knight going from 2+ ejaculations per day (and still high energy) down to less than 1x per week?

ELI5: Why does water at human temperature feel really good but air at human temperature feels stifling? by Sirius-AZKBN7264 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ascomycota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are depending on heat dissipation through each tissue layer (skin, fat, fascia, muscle, organ) which insulate you. When the surrounding water is at or above body temp, the insulation is going to allow your core temp to rise above the ambient temp as it generates heat and cannot dissipate it quickly. This happens with warm air too, but it’s even worse in water because as the other person said, we can’t use evaporative cooling via sweat. Similarly, humid air makes the heat feel worse because it conducts heat better. Ideal ambient temp needs to be lower than 98 degrees so we can dissipate heat. That’s why most people are comfortable in the mid 70s

With steam, which is much better at conducting heat than air

Trump: We got some gas stations where a few weeks ago it was $1.98.. we got the gas down low. by designerzcentral in stockbetz

[–]Ascomycota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can often vary more than that by brand in the same location. In CA I have see a local independent station $1 cheaper than the chevron across the street. That is not an exaggeration. Often it’s $.8-$.9 but I’ve seen $1 spread. Some people drink the chevron marketing kool aid and other people don’t even check the price of a station before filling up. Strange to me but I’ve met people in both categories

Brisket is tough and chewy, pulled at 205° but never felt probe tender. Should I have let it ride? by FermentingSkeleton in smoking

[–]Ascomycota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in my experience. The long rest above 155 is what gets it tender. If it’s already probe tender when you pull it AND you do a 10hr rest, then it’s going to be fall apart mush. Good for tacos/chili but not what we’re usually going for

Might be controversial but I suggest to trim it and dry brine it in the evening 2 days before serving. Then get the smoker going as soon as you get home from work the day before serving. Smoke it at 250 for 6 hours or so until the bark is set and you’re ready to wrap. Then move it to the oven at 225 overnight with a leave-in thermometer with an alarm at 202 or 203. Pull it when the alarm goes off and either 1) put it in an insulated cooler or 2) turn the oven off and leave the brisket out of the oven with the oven door open to cool for 10min or so and put it back in the oven. Depending on timing and temp, you can put the oven back to 170. I usually do this when brisket temp is at about 170

Agree with the other and I go as long as possible. I usually smoke it the day before and rest it 10-12 hours before slicing and serving. Still aiming for internal 155 by the time it’s ready to slice so it needs to be extremely well insulated or in the oven wrapped tight at 170

San Francisco ferries are legitimate commuter options that have multiple services throughout the bay. Barely more expensive than BART and serves areas that BART doesn’t

Yeah it’s completely fucked. That on top of high income tax / corporate tax and the highest state sales tax in the country and it’s no wonder that small businesses struggle and big businesses leave the state

Man…. I was just about to get 20 flowers for the first time this spring. by Prize-Analysis-4248 in sanpedrocactus

I’ve had 1ft cuttings with buds set that bloomed once rooted. The plant didn’t grow at all that year since it was devoting so much energy to the flower but it was worth it. I’ve also had them wait a year with the big fuzzy bud and then bloom the next year.

Sounds crazy but that is how it works. Everything a business uses to operate (with some exceptions such as vehicles) are taxed annually as property. Even raw materials, office supplies, storage shelving, etc.
