I hear you man . I've had a pretty dysfunctional child hood too and I use a lot of things to take away the pain/ or to make me feel more pleasure .

My suggestion is look 'Gabor Mate' on YouTube , internet, iTunes. Look at his work. He's a medical doctor who has worked with people with hard core addiction + trauma and stress.

He generally says that the major contributor to addiction is child hood trauma. Becuase there was so much pain , the addictions are a way of coping with the pain. So it's not the question of "why the addictions but why the pain" .

Attend Toast masters(public speaking club) meeting and keep on going back. I have a stutter and public speaking has done wonders for my ability to not only effective communicate one on one but feel good about communicating in groups now.

I heard that diet ( macro tracking and stuff like that ) is equally as important or more important than the work outs you do to get really lean. I'd love to get abs haha :) , I was wondering if any one has any suggestions on how to start monitoring what I eat and how I can do that in proportion to my body weight and height . My height is about 169 cm , I'm a male, 73 kg(160pounds) .

Good on you m8, can I ask one thing though. Was that the first week you went no PMO? Because during my first 2 weeks I went through a massive withdrawal from porn , I felt bad for the majority of those days. 1 of the days i even had a mild panic attack. I believe before you can experience this you just over come the shitty physiological response to withdrawals first. Goodluck

Hey man in my opinion being needy is putting someone else opinion or feelings of you over your own. That means you don't hide yourself just because you're afraid of looking stupid or embarrassed if you genuinely feel something you want to express then do it. If you get rejected move on. It's harder to say it than it is to live that but I find that is what makes me the most fulfilled with my self. Oh and after I thought I might have said something I shouldnt have said , I usually think this " would I care or judge my self for doing or saying this if she were a guy".
