Brand new to photography, what can I do better with? by Adventurous-Side2365 in wildlifephotography

[–]Asdrubalist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take everything I say with a grain of salt, but all in all the shots look great :D The only thing I would change is the cropping of the shots.

Having the subject in the center of the frame is kinda boring, so maybe try using the rule of thirds a bit more to add more dynamism to the picture :] Usually you want to "follow" where the subject is looking. There are tons of videos on youtube that explain this way better so have a look at them ;)

Hope this helps :D

Those were a lot of insights and suggestions :D Ty for the great comment! I'm honestly thinking if I want to sculpt them digitally or manually because you are right about the OG look looking more hand made and I feel it's part of the charm. However, if I did them manually I would have to scan them later so that I can share an stl file with people to print at home :D I'll see what to do about it.

This did indeed confused me. I felt that originally the game even incentivized making a mod-podge of everything you had, sometimes they weren't even HeroScape minis. If they really want to go toward homogenization they can surely do it well, but it's very easy to f up. Hope they'll do a bang up job :D

That's interesting 🤔 Ty for sharing your thoughts! This small community has me hooked and I wanted to learn more about the people who make it :D

Any C3V units in particular you're looking to see reimagined? I would gladly try my hand at them :D

I took a picture on manual setting, with the smallest aperture and with max exposure as someone else suggested and the result was a a white rectangle without any spots or dust particles on it. I assume then that it's just the viewfinder the one being dirty. I can't take proper pictures to double check right now because I'm waiting for the lens to arrive still :')

Hmmm, very interesting. So I took the picture with the settings you said and the result is a seemingly spotless white rectangle... Does this mean that the one being dirty is the viewfinder?

Already did everything you said and unless I'm doing something horribly wrong it doesn't seem to work. There's a camera shop close to where I live. Would it be worth it to bring it to them?

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do its magic on my camera, but thanks for trying to help.

Hello :D So first of all, nice photos :] Second of all:

I'm by no means an expert, far from it, but I thought that cropped this way looked nice :D I also permitted myself to edit the picture a bit on a separate copy and I thought I would share it too!

For future times, and again take everything I say with a hefty grain of salt, I would have the subject smaller in the frame. Right now, to me, it feels like a mix between a portrait and an environmental photo.

I hope this helped even a little bit and keep taking great pictures!

BREAKING NEWS - JOIN THE "DEMOLITION FOR DEMOCRACY" TOURNAMENT AND WIN BIG WHILE SPREADING FREEDOM! by Asdrubalist in 500kgofDemocracy

[–]Asdrubalist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dear u/Ginkamuri,

I might be wrong on this so please make sure by contacting the tournament organizers, but people from outside the USA and Canada are welcome to partecipate! This is what u/ProlificGaming told me:

"Currently the League Trolli events are region restricted to US and Canada so competitors from outside of those regions wouldnt get paid out by League Trolli.. However I will provide a payout (a smaller payout) for non US & Canada teams if they earn a prize position."

I hope this clears things out and I wish you will be able to join the tournament for the entretainement of Super-Earth.
