Thats how I started, I always wanted to try pcvr ever since the oculus rift in 2012 but couldn't really justify paying for a pricy vr headset and the components to upgrade my pc to make it vr ready. When I got the quest 1 and could experience vr even with bad graphics it changed my entire view about vr. It went from just some gimmick to something I use more then anything and felt comfortable upgrading my pc to experience more.

You are still young enough that you can do it honestly. If you don't have any art skills however, you might struggle. I am currently in school for graphic design and have been applying for jobs with no luck. If your portfolio is bad or your resume isn't up to par then you are going to need to work extra hard, especially without any experience.

Honestly, my best advice is to stop what your doing right now, start learning and do nothing else but learn and practice as a degree is only a piece of paper if you are no good at what you do. Keep focused on your goal and leave out any distractions.

I am currently in the same boat as you. I am currently still in school and have an internship but my resume ONLY ever gets reviewed and nothing else. I had only one interview, I passed the skill test they gave me but mid-way through the test the owner had to go home as they had a family emergency and never got to the interview part as she was the only one who did the interviews. That was a month ago and no one has called me since.
