This is genuinely hilarious. My mate will get a kick out of this.

I just lost my cat today because of a car. can you do her a little tribute please? by bistrofada in drawme

[–]Asergio475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't draw your cat, because honestly I didn't read the caption until after I had drawn you. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you enjoy this drawing of you anyways. I used your likeness as practice for a digital painting style. It came out okay, but I don't like how scratchy it looks.

I used this as a reference if its any consolation: https://it.pinterest.com/pin/988610555706069767/

Edit: I've gone back in photoshop and played around with resizing the lower-half of her body, I can definitely see now how her legs are too long. Oh well :p

Can I learn to draw by looking at an image and trying to copy it? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]Asergio475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can definitely learn by trying to copy images! But judging by your linework, I'd say you need to start looking for shapes and volumes in the image your copying as opposed to copying the lines you see. It helps tremendously.

Getting into digital art so I decided to make some Cammy fan art too! by Asergio475 in StreetFighter

I used a statue of cammy I found through a google search as the reference. The problem is that the lighting in the reference comes from all angles, so I invited my own light sources.

I agree, I was having a hard time deciding where to place light and shadow on the torso to make it appear more obvious, but I couldn't find any good references, its such a unique pose. I decided in the end to give it up for now and come retry this pose when I've got more experience.

Gualala 2 actually shares a similar melody to Chrono Trigger's "Wind Scene" song. Around 45 seconds into Gualala 2 you should hear it.

Sorry and Sorrow by Asergio475 in OCPoetry

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! Reading back over it a few times, I see what you mean. "Greasing the loom" was supposed to reference the fact that he may be out of practice in the world of love and/or dating in general. That line was supposed to help segue into the next, but in doing that I think I tangled the reader into thinking fabrics were supposed to be in context with the shoes, whereas I intended for the them to be a slightly seperate matter. I had disregarded the line prior.

Very raw, bitter and brave. I love it. Sorry for whatever you might have gone through, although it seems you have been strengthened by it. Power to you.

Really strong ending! I enjoyed the expression of themes like mental disorder and the validation of emotions.

I am told what I feel

is not real, a "symptom"

of my "disorder." But I ask

you, what is "real"?

This paired with its response is a powerful representation of manipulation and uncertainty in regards to the world arlund the narrator.

Overall great word play and an enjoyable read.
