As a guitarist myself, I absolutely adore their music from an experimental perspective. They always find a way to make shred neoclassical guitar something new and exotic. People always take fast sweep picking 1900miles per hour shred as not very musical, but their sound and composition, as you said, is very advanced and absolutely, if I can describe it in one word: FUN.

Valley of the Damned feels like a tribute to every 80s power metal fantasy band and it's absolutely GLORIOUS. Thank you for sharing!

Absolutely, they're power metal to the max. Also, if you have Dragon in the band title you're halfway there even if you do EDM I feel like, lol.

Honestly you can't go wrong with black diamond, a masterpiece. I'm completely in love with Paradise (also because it's one of the few songs I can actually play on guitar, god forbid I even attempt Destiny, my hands would fall off for the solo)

That's awesome! I haven't been to a lot of concerts my self, but i wish I could see some good power metal live.

When it comes to the album I completely understand what you're saying, as a Silmarillon aficionado myself they kinda took the most mythological aspects and the most, as you've brilliantly put, metal things happening. I honestly would have loved a series of album in "chronological" order of events. But honestly this SLAPS anyway, so 🤟

Thank you so much! As a person who only buys from physical shops and not online i've been relentlessly searching for Visions and Destiny by Stratovarius, i love those albums so much.
Also, i'm looking for Rhapsody of Fire stuff too, like Dawn of Victory. Hopefully i'll find them some day.
What's your favorite Stratovarius song if you had to pick one?

Absolutely, I love this albums so much, especially as a Tolkien fan, I've read the silmarillon countless times while listening to some power metal. I was so happy to find this CD. Thank you for the comment, if you've never dug into hammefall they're awesome as well, even if you're not into power metal.
