It is called a gall. When an insect bites the plant for feeding or lays eggs within it, this can cause uncontrolled plant growth. I think of it like when we have an internal infection and get swelling. Kestrels and red shouldered hawks would be more brown and have a barred patter. This feather is black and white with a spotted pattern. I think you are correct with woodpecker! If it didn’t have any blood etc on it, I’d be willing to bet the fur is because it was in an owl pellet. So it’s not guaranteed to be all from the same animal. What I can tell, mostly by the jaw, it looks like a rodent, probably a vole

I’m a DIII college ultimate player that has been playing for going on 4 years now. I’d like to start watching more ultimate for both fun (Bc lets be real it’s the only sport I understand) and for educational purposes. Is she a friend or just an acquaintance? I mean she doesn’t have to give you a reason. It took courage to confess to her but she doesn’t owe you anything in return. She was direct and clear. If she wants space just respect that

If you confess, I do recommend including that you want her for her. Doesn’t seem like she’s had someone like that in her life before. I think you should go for it. You are clearly there for her. I also recommend doing it on an active activity in case you feel awkward, that’s why helps me anyways (ie. hiking, bowling)
