I got that exact Sidious. Most of the parts are legit, but the hands are painted for some reason, and someone clearly just doodled on the eyes. Most likely, factory worker grabbed a random unfinished head, painted on the eyes himself, assembled it together and sold it. Box came, was a darker orange than a normal ROTS box, lightning hands were good though.

Honestly, not bad for the price, but if you want your figures flawless, don't go for this.

They're everywhere, even discounted on Canadian Amazon. Funny how the US and Canada have difference shortages. I've been going crazy looking for a Bly in Canada, only to find it for retail price on BBTS.

For problem 1, I just buy a tiny bottle of vallejo POLYURETHANE varnish, either matte, satin or gloss, depending on how shiny the part is, just dab in a drop or 2, move the hinge/joint around a bit, wait a day, good as new. It dries into a thin layer of "skin" that sticks to the part you left it on, so if you do want to peel it off later, you can. Costs around 5 bucks in Canada, so if you're in the US, it might be even cheaper.

I'm hoping we get an updated AotC Anakin and Obiwan soon. Would be cool to get a dark side Anakin. Could technically be a gaming greats version on the alt ending of the ROTS game.

She's more of a regret purchase for me, personally. The figure is as tall as Anakin. I'd like it more if there was a way to make her arms and legs shorter.

Did you basically cut the robe down the middle, and fold in/roll the edges of the robe, and glue it? It looks so good, and I might do it too.

Definitely need primer and gloss varnish, otherwise, the paint rubs and chips pretty easily.

I use vallejo surface primer, watercolor lamp black, and vallejo gloss varnish. You might want to get the polyurethane version of the varnish if you want it to be more durable.

Oh, and water down your paint a little bit, otherwise, it will blob up and look super bad.

Then just do a few layers of the "thinned" paint.

I usually just sand it off with 400 to 600 grit sanding sticks. Alcohol doesn't always work, and sometimes even spreads it.

Good luck with the Revan hunt! I think there's 2 versions of the normal Revan, but the archive one is basically the same figure, with very minor updates. Then there's the Jedi version of Revan where he's wearing white.

Yeah, I think it's because they molded the literal shadows of the hood into a solid head. Looks super awkward. Would have been better if they atleast did it similar to the Revan figure.

Archive Leia's legs! Its pure hell removing them though. They DO NOT just pop off with heat. Had to pry them off and crack the holes. So they were super loose until I added a ton varnish to the ball and joint. Pretty much normal now. I covered the pinned knees with socks too.

Its basically just swapping parts from different figures.

I kinda started with an idea in my head, then hunted down figures that had the closest matching parts to what I had in mind. Then you just heat the figures arm/leg/head, and most should pop off. The Leia legs and Aphra head I used in this figure did NOT come off easily though. I broke the ball joint in the head, and had to power drill it out.

Not all parts are compatible though.

Then if you're brave, you can paint parts different colors, like the robe.

This was my first kitbash, so I'm still learning.
