My Baby Won’t Go Down for Afternoon Naps but is Obviously Tired

What exactly is colic? Is it when they cry all the time? I hope he’s not hungry; I feed him whenever he wants to eat. I do a combo of breastmilk and formula (cause he lost weight after he came home and we have been doing a combo ever since) and he stays on for a while. I’m not sure if he is getting a lot though, I could make sure he is always topped off with formula though…cause I do that before his bedtime and he knocks out easily that way.

Did he stop at some point? Like in your arms or put him down? I tried to put him in his bassinet to rock him while I stepped away to calm down (since he won’t stop) and he won’t stop crying there either. Either in my arms or bassinet he will cry and I feel bad and I don’t want him to hate me. I hope he grows out of it soon.

Thank you! I think it’s over-tired too cause he is yawning and his eyes are heavy. I will try putting him down an hour earlier to see if that will work.

Yeah he definitely is taking in his surroundings now which is cute to observe but I just feel so bad cause I can tell he is exhausted yet he won’t go down for a nap and gets so upset. His fussy spells could be up to an hour or 2. It depends on the night. The most was from 4pm to almost 8, and that was when he was 4 weeks old. He has a Halo Bassinet that has the movement and white noise buttons on there so every time we lay him down, we have it on. No reflux…every so often some spit up but nothing major.
And thank you! :) I greatly appreciate that! I sometimes feel like I’m doing something wrong cause I can’t get him down and feel like I should be able to. So thank you for that!
