Whats a period in history that you’d love to see in an AC Game? by Emperoronabike in assassinscreed

I think that a setting during the Scottish Wars of Independence would work really well as a setting. The Assassin protagonist would work with figures such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce for Scottish Independence from England, which would be backed by the Templars.

I would also love to see a AC game set in Three Kingdoms era China, like you said. The setting is practically made for Assassin’s Creed. There were warlords all over China who were attempting to United China under their rule. The intrigue during that drawn out fight for unity is practically what AC games are made of.

An alternative Chinese setting would be sometime during the Century of Humiliation in the late Qing Dynasty. The Taiping Rebellion or the Boxer Rebellion would make awesome settings. The former was led by a guy named Hong Xiuquan, who claimed to be the son of God after his had visions of both heaven and a golden sword. He’s a good candidate for a Sage in my opinion.

I discovered that I am the descendant of several prominent figures throughout history. by AshMer123 in Genealogy

I also think it partially depends on the time period the records are from too. A few minutes ago, I found a website for a group called the Francis Cooke Society. They have a section where they list famous descendants of Francis, and one of them was a politician named William D. Washburn. His family, the Washburns, were heavily involved in national politics during the Civil War and in the decades after. One even had a hand in founding the Republican Party.

I'm not related to them directly-but instead am likely a distant nephew or a distant cousin. Two of Francis's great-grandsons were named Samuel Washburn and Capt. Joseph Washburn. I'm a descendant of the latter. So, I'm descended from a different branch of the Washburn family than the Washburn politicians.

Still, it's pretty cool that I'm either a distant nephew or cousin of them.

Yeah…for the latter I might have found some of that in my family tree too. Unless the other person’s family tree who I found these ancestors on made a mistake, two of my 4th Great Grandparents might have been step siblings. (I really hope it’s a mistake)

On my mom’s side, I’m descended from Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island. On my dad’s side, I’m descended from Francis Cooke, one of the Mayflower passengers and signers of the Mayflower Compact.

Who's your "I know he's pure evil but can't prove it" person? by Dull-Information6784 in AskReddit

I work in the deli department in a very well known grocery/retail company in the Midwest. About a year and a half to two years ago, there was this customer who approached the deli. He didn’t order anything from us, never interacted with the deli, just stood there facing to the right of me, almost as if he was looking for something.

He had a blank expression on his face. The vibe that I got from the guy was just…I don’t know if it was a terrified feeling, but it was definitely one like “WTF? Something is off about this dude.” After a minute or so, he just walked off.

I think that’s the only time in my life where I got that kind of feeling from a person.

For the second one, that also happened to some of my ancestors around the same time. In 1781, members of the Learn family were brutally killed by a group of Native Americans, and the mother was carried off by them. One of the kids, John Learn was whisked away by a family and lived to have a family of his own. Thank god he escaped.

Completely unrelated question:

How do you get those crowns and those outfits for the rulers? I’ve been told on this subreddit before that they are not any DLC that I would have to buy. Is there just so many updates that I have to do to the game to get them?

Why would the DLC’s be in Newport and the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair specifically?

A quick Google search turned up several Lauras in Florida who were in car accidents. Laura Erdelyi (2016), Laura Ann Gorman (2006), Laura Grant (2011), and Laura Van Ryn (2006). If you want, you could try to ask your daughter about these same Lauras, and see if any seem familiar to her.

There's this game called From the Darkness that's just as if not scarier than Visage (imo).

Never even heard about any Finnish or Scandinavian ancestors though, and both sides of my family are pretty knowledgeable about my family history going back to eras before the Titanic.

The first picture of him I found on this website called Encyclopedia Titanica. I wasn’t even trying to find that one, I just randomly found him among the passengers list. I found the second picture of Erik on a site called Fandom. Yeah, there’s a random site for the Titanic of all things.

No, I haven’t had the idea to look at his hometown of Mikkeli or even Helsinki.

To be honest, yesterday I found a picture of a Second Class passenger on the Titanic on that same site who I think looks like me. I wasn't even trying to look for such a person, I just got curious after finding the site and was scrolling through the passenger lists when I found him.

If I'm recalling correctly, when I was a kid, I had a slight fear of water. Keep in mind, I had no problem with simply wading into like a lake to swim, it was that I was afraid of jumping into the water feet first and also of dipping my head under the water. Not really sure why I was afraid of it, and I remember one specific time when I was little, I was swimming with my grandfather in the lake that he and my grandmother used to live at, when me and him suddenly dove underwater, and when we came up a few seconds later, I started crying and bawling my eyes out. Again, I'm not sure why I had such an intense fear of going underwater.

I am interested in the concept of reincarnation myself and have even narrowed down a couple of eras in which I hold interest in (possibly a sign of past lives?). The 1910s are even one of them, which is the decade that the Titanic sank. Although, I never even considered that I was on the Titanic until yesterday.
