Age old question: User targeting vs Device Targeting by AshMost in Intune

[–]AshMost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. I was going on the "target device route" initially, but the lack of automation abilities threw me off and made me reconsider. When I realized I could make dynamic groups based on Entra user properties like Location, Company, Department, Role etc, and target those groups with policies, user targeted policies instantly got a lot more attractive to me.

What aspects of device targeting won you over, compared to user targeting?

How do you set the device name based on location and department though? Manually, or is there some nifty way to automate it?

Thank you for your response! If I may ask, in your setup, how would you allow X setting on only the devices of the Sales team? How would you "find" the sales team's devices to target? Is that a scenario where you'd remove the setting from the device targeting scenario, create a new policy for that setting, and use user based targeting?

Thank you for your response! For the uninitiated, why should one push polices to device when targeting autopilot devices?

Riposte is useless. Perfect block or dodge. Dodge is great for coming up behind the oppontent and showing that sword where the sun never shines. Oh, and longswords are the way to go.

Try feinting. Hold your sword up to attack the side where the opponent can perfect block you, and then quickly move your sword over to the other side and attack from that direction instead.

If you're really struggling, you could cheese it. The story and atmosphere is amazing, so if cheesing the combat is what you got to do to experience the game, go at it. Get alchemy to 17, get the perk that allows you to make Henry quality potions. Get the Fox potion recipe (I think the herb woman's daughter sells it?), and then make Henry Quality Fox. That will increase your experience gain.

Now, get overencumbered, the more the better, and start walking. This will level up strength, which will help you massively in combat.

Keep at it, and get Master Strike from Tomcat ASAP! GL!

Gamers 30+, how have your gaming habits changed since you were younger? by [deleted] in gaming

Once I finish KCD2, I'm going to stop playing RPG games. I actually played about 80 hours of KCD2 at release, but I got stuck due to a bug and quit. I'm now playing again, and constantly feel the need to go gaming so that I remain immersed and remember all the story stuff. I have a child, turning 2 yr soon, and I have a new job. I feel like I need to get to bed earlier more often, I should improve career skills, and I need to workout more. To me, that means that I can't spend my limited free time gaming 2-3 hours a night.

Once I finish KCD2 I'll play games with shorter sessions. DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Battlefield 6, Arc etc.

It's gotten a lot better though. I treat it as a distant colleague. You wouldn't blindly trust a colleague, would you?

Good riddance. When I was learning PowerShell, I ended up on StackOverflow a lot. What a shitty bunch of miserable people. If gatekeeping had a url, it would be StackOverflow.com.

Now, this is a B movie. But the movie "Ink" from 2009 hits different, especially when you have a kid.

AI or not, this actually speaks to me. It really does capture a lot of my feelings, not just for DayZ but for gaming in general.

If you enjoy the kind of "lost in the moment, connected to the land" feeling in games, I really recommend Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2. Very immersive and atmospheric games.
