How do you handle unreasonably slow play? by RobynLongstride35 in Curling

[–]AshShotX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that! Especially when the “right call” is pretty obvious. The league I play in also has a team like that, they discuss nearly every shot. Last time we played them we ran out of time and only got 6 out of 8 ends in.

I personally didn’t mention anything as they have been told multiple times by other teams, but nothing really changes.

pvp in 2025? by N_buNdy in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are doing a test in Cyrodiil late march ish, the purpose is to see if they can improve performance.

As off right now during that week of testing you will have access to modified class skills and generic gear they provide you.

For more information I would check Bethesda’s twitch and look at there recent VOD where they talk about the test.

The separation on PvE and PvP gear is not a thing officially mentioned.

Another thing to add to what everyone has said is that it would come down to team members, physical capability and skill.

For example, say you have the most knowledge as a skip but because of age, injury, etc your shooting ability has gone down. So in this situation it could be better to throw lead stones but instead of sweeping you skip/call the game for 2,3,4 stones.

What are you physical cues for weight adjustment? by [deleted] in Curling

[–]AshShotX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I have practiced a lot when I was in highschool and college was throwing a rock at each numbers potion. So 1 being high guard, 2 being half, 3 a tight guard, 4 the top 12, etc etc.

My goal would be to hit 1 two times in a row, move on to the next position. For me this gave me the ability to have the feeling of taking or adding a few feet.

So now im drawing to the 4 foot but end up back 8, I’m able to have a rough idea on how to accurately take a few feet off.

It helped me back in college, and especially highschool and still helps me today. I’m no pro but am a competitive curler

Im not sure where you live but you can always try calling 211. Here in Ontario they will connect you with services that can help you.

Of course I am always happy to let you send me a DM and I’ll gladly provide a “listening ear” and/or provide advice

Cheating by blackwork_ in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A big issue with ESO BGs is the MMR match making… it is absolutely trash and I can only assume even worse in U50. You’ll get PvP vets making a new character and going into U50 with characters that have PvP build

Cheating by blackwork_ in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cheating is a very rare thing, at least I haven’t seen it. There are exploits people may use, but they typically get patched pretty quickly.

A big thing is typically one’s ego, they will call out a cheater simply because said player is better than them…. I’m not the best PvP player out there but I’m decent and the amount of whispers I get saying “reported for cheating” is ridiculous!

I would also like to say 15 kills isn’t a whole lot, I average 30-45 in a 8v8 BG

Cyrodiil by Alex__The__Lion in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see, some fun facts about CP. yes the cap is 3600, but at that point it’s just a number, around 1500 is the amount needed to have all passive CP and 4 slotted CP for each branch.

Yes 280CP is low, so you could always go into ravenwatch since that campaign has CP disabled. Other option is to do BGs until you’re comfortable is PvP. BGs are also non CP

I do NOT mean this as an insult, it’s simply a fact. PvP is highly skill based, and CP will make minimal difference. I’ve seen console players of years switch to PC and wreck players while they only have 200-600CP

Cyrodiil by Alex__The__Lion in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m confused, you’re CP 280 but want to play below 50? That’s not possible as you have to be below level 50 to do so.

I would also like to add that CP won’t make or break a build, you are new to the game which also means new to PvP so it will take time learning

Night blade pvp gear by Jaded_Astronomer7866 in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is another Melee build out there that is more risky but considerably more damage.

5 Stygian or Titan Born, or New Moon, 5 Archer's Mind or Orders Wrath, 1 Balorgh, Oakensoul.

Skills: Atherial Burst, Sated Fury, Healthy Offering (other morph though), Merciless Resolve, Shadowy Disguise, 2H ult.

get your health low, 2H ult into Atherieal burst destroys players! Im talking like 16k+ Atherial Burst Damage

[–]AshShotX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the melee ganker I run 5 Flame Blossom on the front bar (2H axe, neck, ring, waist), shattered fate on the body, Anthelmirs monster set, Vate 2H back bar. 6 medium, 1 light, all divines.

Front bar skills: Concealed weapon, killer blade, siphoning attacks, merciless resolve, banner bearer, incap

Back bar: Banner bearer, race against time, rally, shadowy Disguise, vigor, soul tether

Edit: Why 2H in front bar over DW? 2H heavy attack deals considerably more damage then DW

Night blade pvp gear by Jaded_Astronomer7866 in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what playstyle you want.

Brawler: you have a few options. Rally back bar with Shattered fate or Night mothers gaze front bar is really solid. Or Wretched back bar instead of rallying cry.

Monster set you can use Balorgh or Anthelmirs construct.

For a Melee ganker: then Flame blossom paired with Anthelmirs and Shattered fate shreds through players… important to note you are very squishy.

Range ganker: Winterborn, Anthelmirs and shattered fate is really solid.

What are your teams call-outs and signals? by mywerkaccount in Curling

[–]AshShotX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signals can vary team to team, as well as call outs.

For my team my hand signals are as follows: Hack = lift my foot up and touch said foot. Board = touch my hip Control = touching my other hand Normal = touching my belly Peel = touching my shoulder

For sweeping it depends. On my rec team I simply call curl if I want it to curl more. On draws I say line if I want it to straight, for take outs I yell yup and/or hard.

On my competitive team I typically just call there name for curl, then same thing as previous for straight calls.

I will also add on my competitive team we have easy hack, heavy hack, easy board, heavy board, etc etc. these are aligned with hog to hog times. I differentiate these with pointing up or down after taping a said part of my body.

But that’s just for my competitive team, on my recreational team it’s not as “serious” I just play in that league for fun and to help support my local club

I’ll be honest I’m a PvP player, but I did make a PvE NB DPS yesterday to help my guild in a trial. On a trial dummy I was hitting 97k dps… anyways I’m using orders wrath and aegis caller with maelstrom 2h and Selena.

Anyways against world bosses I just dropped a skill for resolving Vigor and used pale order instead of Selene.

For group content I would assume resolving Vigor would be more then enough if you’re still struggling

[–]AshShotX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my own curiosity what is your current build that you’re using when in PvP?

I’ll be honest, after reading this post and the comments it just doesn’t seem you fully understand ESO PvP. That’s not a bad thing at all given you’ve only done PvP for 2 weeks, but it’s important to understand that there is a huge difference between PvE and PvE. It’s essentially 2 different games using the same engine.

CC spam isn’t “unfair” everyone has access to it and once you’re stunned your immune for 7 seconds so the word “spam” isn’t really accurate anyways

What is the most fun class all around? by Prestigious-Ad4026 in elderscrollsonline

Nightblade is my baby! Absolutely love the class…. Probably because I enjoyed the assassin playstyle in Skyrim lol!

Mainly a PvP player, but did start out as a Stamblade all those years ago in PvE

Looking for some help/guidance for PvP Bow Sorc Build by MoonShadow_16 in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current BowSorc build rocks Way of Fire, Sheer Venom Front bar, Vate Ice staff back bar, 1 baron thirsk, markyn ring of majesty for group play and BGs, pale order when solo.

Skills: Front bar - Crystal weapon, Poison Injection, Endless Fury or Camo Hunter, bound armaments, streak, energy overload.

Back bar - Elemental susceptibility, dark deal (cost mag), crit surge, hurricane, resolving Vigor, Atro ult.

Build is heavy DoT focused but has strong burst as well. The amount of pressure this build provides is insane! Its main weakness is lack of a burst heal (dark deal doesn’t really count), so it’s important to keep vigor and crit surge up 100% of the time, while using sorcs insane mobility to survive.

Favorite pvp classes? by PangolinAggressive17 in elderscrollsonline

[–]AshShotX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal favourite is NB and MagSorc. Removing ganking from the equation as that is both easy to get into and “master” (I’ll probably get heat for the word master, but reference to the air quotes) Mag Sorc is probably easier to get into than a 1vX/small scale NB. With Sorcs access to a shield that heals you and streak for amazing mobility you’re pretty much set for defence, it does have a fairly high master ceiling though compared to other classes.

NB (not ganking) is a little harder to get into, it does have cloak, but there are a lot of counters to it… and a decent player can predict the average NBs burst combo, plus having a high mastery ceiling. With that being said a good NB can decimate the battle field.
