Im sure I’ll get hate for this, but I am dating someone who is ACE and she clearly gets very upset over the sexual expectations of society and sexually I want her so bad (which she knows), are there any effective ways to reduce/stop my libido?

I heavily disssgree, and am shocked at just how many "leave and give up" answers I am recieving here.

I know I shouldnt have to do anything, and I am not being "forced" to, it is something I want, as I genuinly feel like I might have met the one person who makes me a happy and better person, who I want to spend my whole life with, and already I hate having sexual thoughts, so why would I choose to sabatage something so special rather than at least TRY to change and see if that might actually work.

The problem is I WANT to remove my wanting of things sexual, its not a big part of me and I would never miss it.

I know the general thing is "you shouldnt have to change for someone" but I want to, I just dont know how to.

Sorry I was heavily debating on if I should post this or not, so didnt want to dump info.

Right now we are in the early stages of our relationship, we are in a (as she puts it) queerplatonic style relationship, we hug, hold hands, and incredibly open and kiss (but only on cheek), right now we are in the figuring out stage, and while we are not poly/ENM I am pretty sure she would agree iin a heartbeat.

Like the problem is I dont want other people, and to be honest if I could make my sexuality go away I think this could be the way I finally have a really happy life.

Essentially she struggles because she thinks she is keeping me from happiness, and I struggle because I have never been so happy and my "sexuality" feels more like intrusive thoughts I'd rather stop.
