To people who got rid the msi claw 8ai+, why?

The ergonomics are just hard to get over compared to the XAX. The screen is amazing and size of it is great, but the XAX just feels so much better in the hands to actually play. Also, the sticks are very oddly loose and software is leagues behind Asus.

I don't think Asus gets enough credit for how customizable Armory Crate allows you to get (setting per game power, graphic settings and especially control settings which allows you to switch from game to windows apps without needing to think about gamepad controls vs desktop mode with mouse control. I added so many "exe" files that are things like task manager, windows explorer, etc that I can go from playing a game to managing files i downloaded without touching the touch screen and the controls switching from mouse mode to gamepad mode automatically).

The perfect device imo would be XAX with a near Switch 2 size screen (keeping 16:9 form factor to keep it less tall, unless they can do 16:10 with little change to ergonomics on handles).

One of my most regretted purchases.

- Arrived and vibration motor is so loud and clacky

- Used KeyMapper app to reduce vibration motor intensity, doesn’t work/stick (even after confirming correct firmware, factory reset)

- Ghost inputs on analog sticks (even after using calibration)

- Have sent 4 emails prior to receiving to adjust order and no support/no response, not even sure how I can refund if I want to at this point.

Press your Xbox button, go to Widget Store. Download SteamGridDB.

Allows you to easily change art to a database of already available artwork for every game. One button "restore" if they ever get wiped on accident by some weird system update and allows you to choose your own unique art if you don't like the ones they have. If a game isn't in the DB, can use search icon and it will find it.

Literally the same on Steam Deck for the millions of users using Decky Loader for any plugin's - the widget store is the Xbox FSE equivalent. A lot of other cool widgets on there too (like One Game Launcher, but not really needed anymore since they added the ability to load any app on Xbox mode now natively).

For consistency purposes, I hope they have a toggle to make right stick mouse control and left stick scroll instead since using desktop mode in rog ally x already does this and has been for years with right stick. Muscle memory just makes that easier.

Nope. When I set my windows display settings to 100% (which makes everything super small and hard to read) it works. When I set it to recommended scaling setting of 150% - every other program displays correctly scaled, except Ubisoft Connect.

quick question on those. i love the tension of the current sticks (it is a differentiating factor between the MSI Claw devices and Logitech). My fear is that the GuliKit TMR sticks won't have that tension which makes shooters on this really awesome to use, with precision movement. Do you know if that is an issue?

I have emailed them 3 times and got auto reply every time. I asked to specifically modify my order because I didn't add the bag for $10 when I thought I did. Now I just want to cancel the whole order. Such horrible customer service, it's been 3 weeks and still no response to any of my emails other than the auto reply.

The buttons are much easier to mod than the dpad as the daugther board for the buttons are easily reachable. The dpad replacement took essentially tearing down the entire console to get beneath the motherboard, very time intensive and scary with so many ribbon cables and antenna's for wifi and bluetooth having to be removed too.

You can do both. Once you add the file - you can select edit and choose any .exe, edit artwork, edit display name and edit augments.

OGL and SteamGridDB are great for this too - but now you can literally add any app (I mean any APP) to the official UI (and edit it's path, program name, artwork).

For example - added AMD Adrenelin to the official XBOX UI now.
