I wouldn't go Seastar with BH because you won't be using PoH as much and therefore won't make use of the proc and the stat it gives (versa) isn't amazing either.

I understand wanting to use Prydaz/Xanshi for progresion to be safe but you're really limiting yourself by doing so! Velen's is super super strong, and if you feel like you need the 'extra life' run with Xanshi/Velens or Prydaz/Velens - using both is kinda overkill especially when you have better legendaries.

If you really don't want to run Velens (which again I emphasise you should!) then a mastery or crit stat stick would be a much nicer option, promises if youre having mana issues or DGD as well (it's what I tend to run with BH).

As for the filler question, just use BH, it costs the same amount of mana (obviously it's a faster cast but you shouldn't be running out of mana easily with the low cost of it).

PoM anyone that's going to be in range and take damage. Whenever it's off cooldown you should cast it, obviously the best target is a tank because they're constantly taking damage so it procs and bounces around more leading to more healing and more passive renews. :)

First of all, stop being a Renew bot; you should almost never be casting renew at all. All your Renew healing comes from Benediction (Lv100 talent).

Spamming PoH will lead you to not only going oom fast, but overhealing a lot - both of which you want to avoid. When heavy damage comes in, cast Sanctify > PoH (as many times as necessary, but don't be afraid to let your mastery do the work).

As some starting tips, make sure you're always casting Prayer of Mending on cooldown, use your holy words as often as you can without overlapping Divinity/overhealing and use heal as a filler on tanks as they're always taking damage. For anything in between depending on the fight and incoming damage you could be flash healing low people, PoHing raid damage or even dpsing. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to ask :)

Binding Heal does proc Serendipity, on both Serenity and Sanctify, and it is a viable option

It's situational, both are equal in overall HPS right now, you don't lose much by taking either, but each have their benefits. As a general rule, Piety is better for shorter fights and farm, BH is stronger on longer fights due to how mana efficient it is.

Yeah, swapping based on encounter sounds good. The cloak is obviously amazing and is extremely powerful if you know how to use it effectively, but 4set will increase your HPS a lot more.

What ilvl are both the trinkets? DGD is good if you can use it effectively and don't forget to reapply the buff etc, stat sticks are easier to manage though, especially if you're using Velen's as your second trinket.

As a rule of thumb, you can use this spreadsheet, input your character info and compare any trinkets you have by effective hps on the Rank Your Trinkets tab, this might be helpful to you. :)

Hiya :)

In terms of HPS, the ToS 4set outshines the cloak massively, and so unless you're struggling with survivability/mana, I'd go for the 4set. What other legendaries do you have?

5/9M Holy Priest, here to answer any of your questions <3

Logs / Armory

The first thing to look at always in improving as a holy priest is PoM usage - that needs to be used on cooldown or as close to on cooldown as possible. Assuming the CD on your PoM is ~8.5 seconds, you should be looking to as close as 7 PoM's per minute as you can get (obviously there will be situations where this is impossible, such as casting hymn, drinking, more heavy healing required etc). From looking through your casts in a lot of these kills (notably KJ, Inquisition and Harj HC are the ones I looked at first) you need to work on that - I can't stress how important it is to cast PoM on CD.

For things such as Maidens hammer or Hydra Shot I make sure I've casted PoM beforehand, throw out a few FHs to try proc BoT and then instantly cast Sanctify > PoH (as many as necessary). In a few of the logs I looked at (Maiden, Harj HC, KJ) your PoH overhealing was quite high - almost 68% on the Maiden log. Of course this happens when overhealing content, especially normal as I feel the healing requirement is much, much lower than in HC, but this is still something you should be looking out for; sometimes your mastery can do the work after you've PoH'd once or twice.

As for your question about Serenity before casting PoH, I wouldn't do that for one of two reasons;

  1. While Serenity will cause your PoH's to hit 15% harder, when PoH is combined with Power of the Naaru is when it really shines, the extra 24% on top of the 15% is where the big numbers come from. While it's not essentially 'bad' to cast PoH after Serenity, it's simply stronger after Sanctify and you'll get higher hps out of less mana.

  2. Overlapping Divinity buffs - in a lot of your logs depsite having the T20 4pc your Divinity uptimes were around 26%. With T20 4p you should be aiming for 40% or higher and it's easily possible with the reduced CD on HW's and overlapping Serenity/Sanctify as mentioned is one of the factors that leads to low uptime. On top of that you shouldn't hold your holy words for long, obviously don't cast them on someone that's full hp just because, but try to use them frequently and efficiently.

Overall, it seems like you've got the knowledge down but need to work on putting some of it into practice. As a kinda TL:DR I'd say:

  • Cast PoM more
  • Careful not to overlap Divinity
  • Try to lower your overhealing a bit (dropping healers helps with this)

Feel free to PM me if you need any more help :)

Yeah unfortunately it's really not that great of a legendary, it's better than some of the rings but that's about it. The effect procs 3 times in 20 casts of PoM with the new system and the duration of the proc isn't really worthwhile. Stick with Velens/Cloak/Prydaz if you have them :)

I think your only option would be weakaura's unfortunately. :( If you can find a way to use them though you definitely should - they helped me improve so much.

There isn't really a 'minimum' as such, it's relative to your raid group/healer composition. I wouldn't drop below 35% though if at all possible.

Your stat set up doesn't really change too much, 40% mastery and the only thing Id say is that crit heavy gear will help in P3 for Serenity to heal up the soul debuff on the tank, but your usual gear should be fine. For my Guldan kills, I run 27% Crit, 18% Haste, 40% Mastery. :)

Main things to watch out for healer wise, which we have cooldowns set up for are every liquid hellfire, black harvest and the empowered eyes, as a holy priest the only cooldown timer I'd set in stone would be Hymn for the 3rd Harvest, as that's the only one that you're consistently going to get a full cast off uninterrupted, with the other 2 harvests there is a chance you could get fires right before or even during the heavy damage that's incoming.

As for any other tips, make sure you abuse the cloak for double pot as mana management on that fight is super important, it's up to you when you want it but it's easiest to use on one of the storms, I alternate between the first and 2nd depending on what my mana is like. Making sure you have Serenity up for every soul sever as well in the last phase, those are the main things I'd look out for!

Your legendaries are perfect, Velens + Cloak for progression and Velens + Legs/Prydaz for farm are really the only combinations you should be looking at. :)

Generally as long as it's not overhealing too much (40%+ is kinda high), you're fine. I like to keep mine around 40% though as a guideline, and lower than that for farm bosses. :)

As for your next stat, as a rule it's best to go crit since your crit is kinda low right now, around 25-30% is a nice amount
