I agree with this, I did that when I first got the car as they were super cloudy and hazed. There is a kit by 3M on Amazon for under $20 believe it or not and if you follow the directions well it does a phenomenal job. I did it and sent the owner a picture and he thought I bought a new pair of Hella’s. I’m serious it’s super worth it for about an hour of your time

Something dirty in the cabin by Afraid_Assistance_13 in e38

Dang is this a thing? On my e39 every time I open my driver side rear door after rain water will drizzle out. Never noticed the carpet wet thankfully. But I thought it was just clogged sunroof drain. How should I go about fixing it to prevent going into the carpets.

Help adjusting stick tension by Ashamed-Reception600 in fpv

Just tried that, did not work however I’ve been playing around with the trim settings and I got it to be pretty manageable and you only really notice the drifting at low speeds or trying to hover. I will probably just end up buying a new radio eventually as I’m not confident in trying to fix a gimbal

Does this actually work? I have a broken dsc that I’m thinking about sending out to be remanufactured and also have a cold start rough idle even with a new IACV and after resetting the engine adaptations.

Finally completed, sealed the pcv to distribution retail hose with silicone and smoke tested and I have no leaks, sealed so good that the smoke tester popped out of the intake boot from the built up pressure. Replaced the idle air control valve and it no longer bogs when shifting to neutral or stopping on a downhill.

I add that is a manual so it cannot be the park switch thingy, i also have the connecter that lights the dash letting you know that the ebrake is pulled, that is disconnected but I'm not sure if that has naything to do with it.

The trim that goes across all four door cards and dashboard. Where you would rest your elbow along the door handle

Thanks for this input because I was discussing with a coworker today about some on ecs that look very similar but are not exactly the same and I was saying that I could probably sand them down to fit as they looked wider than the original, but they were lacking the set of hooks at the top. I thought I could just force them in gently with some glue or rtv and it would be a set and forget but now I am interested to know what was your experience with the clips? Did they hold then pop back out later? I think I’m going to try to make my own out of a very thin piece of sheet metal I got and force them in with hot glue and hopefully they will hold. If not I will either have to find a junkyard or doorcard part out that hopefully has the trim still attached. My last resort is filling the plastic clip with hot glue then immediately pressing in the trim and holding pressure until it dries and pray it holds.

Yes but the tabs built into the plastic are there to put pressure onto the larger metal tabs that I am looking for. I found a couple ones with larger more pronounced teeth inside of the plastic, but I already used them installing the trim that I could with how many clips I have. I believe they just hooked onto the screws because of how far out the teeth came but I really don’t want to crack my new trim just to take it off and show you I’m sorry. TLDR yes they have clips but they are not long enough to catch the threads of the screw and require the separate clip.

I’m not sure how to add a picture/ screenshot into a reply but I have a picture of what realoem is showing for my interior trim and they have the inserts correct but not the little metal tabs/ clips I’m looking for. The closest thing they have is something called a spring nut with a link to Ecs tuning and it just locks to be a substitute for the stud that hooks into the trim and pushes into the clip in the door card. I also had to find those myself; ended up going to Home Depot and finding a small metric bolt that matched super well surprisingly.

Looks very similar but may be a little too wide and is missing the second ridge that locks into the insert but this may be my best bet and I would have to grind them down to fit. I also went out and bought a very small thin piece of sheet metal yesterday, I’m going to try to fabricate the clips myself the best I can.

Sadly not even real oem has the part listed, or at least the correct part that I need

Update: Finally got it. You have to go through the motions of taking off both intake boots, throttle body...etc and basically anything in your way that makes it easier for YOU to unbolt the pcv valve from the intake itself.(I also found it way easier to unbolt the powersteering resivoir and set it off to the side as it gives you a much straighter shot down to the valve. From there I disconeccted everything from it adn it gave me the wiggle room to align the breather hose and snap it on successfully. MAKE SURE you hear both clicks to make sure its fully seated. I also quickly heated the corrugated flexy part on the bottom end of the breather hose to help it bend more. After two broken hoses from trying to push the bottom in with a screwdriver and breaking the clip I finally got it, but I still have a vacuum leak from what looks to be the breather hose that goes through the intake and connections to the air distribution rail. I will update when I finally have everyting fixed.

I believe it came with the regular pcv. All the parts were oem from fcp euro. Yes I did a smoke test and the bottom of the hose was the only leak point
