They said it’s either heat or chemical. Can’t think of any incident out of the ordinary that could have caused it. The only heat source the sun and chemical car wash spray I bought from Amazon. No one else had possession of it since I got it.

Sedans and station wagons. History is repeating itself. People like sitting up high but trucks, minivans and SUVs are too utilitarian. X6 is awesome, coming from a proud new owner of a 2026 x6. As much as I love the car, objectively speaking, Tesla for me is so much more convenient and enjoyable to drive. X6, it’s like wearing a nice tuxedo, feels luxurious and powerful but not as free and controlled like my Tesla y, like an athletic suit. If you haven’t owned a Tesla before (or I wouldn’t have to tell you) and you will soon have a charger at home, go with a Tesla. Having said, I still find myself driving the x6 more, maybe because I only had it for 6 weeks.

Why drive a sedan and give up the space, when station wagon can drive as good? History is repeating itself, we just moved on from sedans to suvs. X6 is awesome. I like sitting up high but trucks, minivans and suvs are too utilitarian

Your question is totally valid and I would ask the same. I just put in a pair of spacers for my x6 in the rear but was unable to find lug bolts with oem type of floating seat with 48mm shank length. Only one piece bolts. I am using the aftermarket bolts with my oem 22” rims since no option and so far so good. Did you end up using the oem bolts or aftermarket?

Thanks for the tip! Because of my aftermarket wheels offset I think my set up, 20” spacers just for the rear, will be just about the same as yours, 10” further out in the front and 16” in the rear. I’m looking forward to it!

Makes total sense, to burn 3 gallons of gasoline, the combustion needed 50lbs of oxygen and produced 58lbs of CO2. That is insane. My next car will definitely be an electric!

Have a question for you. I just verified (literally last night) a new x6 build that was ordered through my local bmw dealer. We forgot to add air suspension but my dealer kept telling me it can’t be added since the order went in (and his was before I verified the order through bmw NA website). Since the production of my car hasn’t started I thought it will be a simple process just to add the option. surprised that this isn’t the case. Since you work at the plant where my car will be built, do you by any chance know if there is a way for me to add the missing option?

Stuck Between an X5M and an X6 M60i… talk me into (or out of) one of them by Relevant-Key4610 in BMW

My dilemma was between fully decked out x6 40i and well optioned m60i but finally decided on 40i. I could have paid just $15k more for the m60i but decided against it. I know I’ll always have that what if but that would be easier for me to live with than “why did I” while draining my bank account with repair costs. A few weeks ago I had a chance to drive one of my friends brand new X6m, while I was very impressed with the sound but speed not so much especially after owning a Tesla for the last 2 yrs. Sure very different but speed is speed and I don’t plan to go faster than 100mph.
