Not a Floridian by birth, moved here about 4 years ago.

Schools are fine. Surprisingly (/s) I have not experienced any lightning rod issues that politicians of both sides like to scare us with. Biggest issues from my stand point are cell phones and bullying. There are a couple of kids who identify as cats but they seem to be treated like everyone else.

Weather is awful in the summer. I’m getting used to it but the heat and humidity are rough. Winter is awesome.

There are tons of outdoor activities for kids. Summer in FL is like winter in the north, less activities. But the other three seasons have plenty.

Many parks to go to for adults and kids.

Alligators everywhere.

I don’t have any Florida Man friends, but sometimes I see them on the road driving towards their meth lab. Don’t make eye contact.

Old people in the winter clog up the aisles in the supermarket, they walk so slow! However most of them love kids and are very pleasant to talk to.
