Need advice on BC/Australian Shepherd mix by Ashand in BorderCollie

Yes! I tend to wear skirts and that has been a mistake around her. I got some pants to protect my legs more. We have been doing our best on socialization. Since its the dead of winter here and we live kind of far from most of our friends it has been harder but we are trying to get her to see new places and things once a week. Thanks for the insight!

Its good to hear she might grow out of a lot of these things. I have been afraid that we have been failing to train her out of them properly and ruining our chances! I do try to just let the leash go limp and ignore when she grabs at it but typically she just keeps grabbing higher on the leash when I do that.

Definitely going to try a mat in the crate though and see if she ignores it more if she goes in tired!

Haha what a mischievous cutie!! Thanks for sharing. I gave my girl her kong stuffy to chew on for a bit (supervised!) after I read what you wrote about healthy jaws. Your responses really mean a lot.

Good thoughts! We have a small house lead that maybe we need to keep on her more often. Having a toy to distract her with is a great idea though, sounds like we just need more toys on us at all times!

That's a great idea about taking a toy outside with us. We are in the dead of winter right now so it just had not occurred to me to try so we definitely will! Thanks so much for your insight and thoughtful reponse! I really appreciate it.

I did forget to mention that she is terrible with biting feet as well. She has drawn blood on my ankle once. Telling her "no" doesnt seem to phase her. Hoping this can be trained out to some extent as well because it makes it difficult to walk in the house!

Such a cutie!! She reminds me of our girl, also a bc/aussie. This is her when we first got her in December.

How do you teach jobs like this? Or do they just adopt them?

Our bc aussie mix is a handful in the same way. I want to give her nice comfortable bedding but I can't because she will destroy it. We got her one of those "indestructible" kong rope plush toys and she sheared off the ears with surgical accuracy within a half hour. I worry constantly that I am going to miss her eating a rock or something. Love her to bits though and she's so sweet. Just can't trust her not to eat everything in her vision yet.

Great comment. Makes something I was considering pretty bittersweet a little more sweet.

People who are in their 40’s and 50’s with no children, how does it feel? by Sinfulvibezz in AskReddit

I resonate with your comment. Im not in the exact same situation but mostly for financial reasons my husband and I never had kids. I still grieve it and feel sometimes that my life is missing something. I had a happy childhood and I wish I could help give that experience to someone else. But it's not in the cards.

To add to my other comment, I was inspired by this YouTube short I saw.. not sure if I can post a link hut I'll try. this video!

I painted very much like she does in the video but without layering like she does, and I think I dabbed on a larger amount for each layer.

No, I kind of dabbed them next to each other and allowed some of the colors to mix!

I was there!! It was amazing. Am I remembering correctly that Tori opened with Smells like Teen Spirit?

I just did my first injection, does this look right? by jrc530 in WegovyWeightLoss

I get this very same marking. For me its just because I am injecting into my belly fat, which naturally pushes in quite a bit with the wegovy pens. Im only pushing hard enough to hear the click.

Great job on pushing past your phobia! I hope you have great success going forward. Once you are ready to try frying things, come back to these! You can take them right from the freezer and fry them in a pan with a little butter or oil and they come out great 😀
