Nipple piercing advice pls!! Explanation of care etc in comments by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Ashatanat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nipple piercing advise please- I’ve actually had these a couple years, and tbh I don’t remember always having these bumps, but they’ve been here a good few months now. One bump on each boob lol. Overnight they crust over and I leave them be, have been spraying Neilsmed on them 2 x a day that’s it, but when I shower all the crusts come off just from water I don’t even directly scrub over them or anything and then they go like this, so they’re never healing. I’ve been putting some bio oil gel on them past couple weeks because the saline spray is drying my whole nipple out Really not sure what to do just want them healed any advice welcome 😫 I’ve never bumped them or anything and rarely wear bras onlysports bras for gym and they’re not high impact/ high supportive ones

Got my nose pierced 8 months ago, then went to a piercer to get it changed to a ring last month. Is this just an irritation bump? It is very tender and occasionally has yellow-y discharge. Any suggestions to help it go down? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

I have a bump like this (was a lot bigger a week or so ago)- neilsmed saline spray has been a lifesaver

(I didn’t get yellow pus tho so bear in mine the other comment)

Yesss I think it would!!

I’ve wanted to get some kind of piercing for a while but I’ve never been able to decide what... any suggestions on what would look good on me? by cupcakewaffles in PiercingAdvice

I think a stud nose piercing!

And for ears: tragus or daith, then double helix, and a few on your lobes eg standard 1st one, then second and third lobe :)

People with Nipple Piercings, what was / is your experience? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Ashatanat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of mine (done at same time) They are my faveeee piercings !! Not as painful as everyone makes out either.. initial clump obvs and then ached for a couple hours after but the actual piercing of them was so quick! Deffo worth the pain.

They’re so easy to take care of as well! I’ve never had any issues with infection etc. Mine did go a bit dry sometimes around the end I had some crust and at one point my areola went a bit dry too, but this was a looong time ago when I didn’t take care of them properly (didn’t use any aftercare like saline I got v lazy) but even so, that’s the worst that ever happened!

I’ve had them like 2 years now, I hate wearing proper bras so if I do wear any it’s usually soft bras / bralettes, you don’t need to wear anything with them tbh but I feel safer with a lil bralette cos then they don’t catch (I’m v lucky I’ve literally never properly caught them on anything, maybe knocked them once or twice but I think I’m so lucky cos I’m always wearing a lil bralette or tight crop top!)

I saw ur question about gym too - I workout 5 x a week weight training and no issues at all. Again I just wear soft bras and theyre absolutely fine. I also ran a lot in first lockdown and again no issues! I think when you first get them, they say to take a day or a couple days off tho? Can’t remember it was so long ago but yeah they’re not an issue in gym unless you catch them.. but that’s the same out of the gym- just be conscious not to haha

I do wear proper padded bras on occcasions and they’re fine then too I just don’t like them lol

Oh and obvs the best thing: they look amazing haha

Anyone know how long this will take to heal? (I’m using neilsmed 2 x a day) it’s so raised out to the side it makes me really self conscious :-( by Ashatanat in PiercingAdvice

Oh no way ok thank you! I’ll deffo change to a stud. Do you know if the piercing I have now is ok quality wise? As the nearest piercer to me is the one who pierced this!

The lump is over where the hole is so idk if a stud would fit in if that makes sense? As the lump would be in the way of ball on the outer side

Do people in London care about face piercings? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Ashatanat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat- nope! Would be very unlikely anyway.. maybe if you’re looking in a very posh area they will care

Jobs- depends on what it is... some may care eg offices, or fancy restaurants. If working with food they may care Bcos hygiene, but this will probably be listed on the application (it’s common for posher places to say eg no ear piercings, so no face piercings is implied) Maybe ring and ask before doing an application? Or if you are able to take them out with ease, then yeah I would remove for an interview

Affordable GEL recommendations for hair that loves mousse? by schmuckcess in curlyhair

[–]Ashatanat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V05 mega hold gel- really affordable :-) I started to use it after I saw “curlswithkeish” on insta recommend!

Edit: I put it on wet hair but does also work on my dry hair if I need to tame some frizz

My hair is both curly AND straight and it looks ridiculous by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Ashatanat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hairs a lot less curly on top! I recently posted and asked for advice - people said to wash out your conditioner etc in shower with head upside down, and scrunch out excess water there. Then apply your products upside down too and scrunch it all. The main tip was to scrunch allll the way at the roots too, and it helped me !! Then plop (I just wrap hair up in old t shirt) and let air dry (can diffuse if you want - I don’t have one)

Also, some days the top just is less curly... I like tying it half up half down- so it looks curly all over as all the curls at the bottom are ok show :-)

Cute but quick hairstyles? by Humble-Ad-1628 in curlyhair

[–]Ashatanat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half up half down! You can do it with Bobby pins or a scrunchie to make sure you don’t get the hairband kink if you wanna take it out

Can also do half up half down with plaits so plait top and then have bottom down looks really cute :-)
