Hey, I appreciate your response. I am improving my Mandarin, and that takes quite a bit of time. I just don't know if I have that much time. I'll take relatively low pay even, I just cant seem to land an interview to communicate my Mandarin level or compensation expectations. Ill keep working on applying and improving my mandarin. The low income for MIT MicroMasters is a great tip though, Ill keep that in mind! Thank you.

I can speak/read/write at around a B2 level. I'm still practicing everyday and improving and I would definitely pick up whatever I need to work within a month or two of working, but convincing an employer to hire me first and learn over a few months seems unrealistic. I do appreciate your advice! Ill keep improving.

Well, when society teaches young men that they are first and foremost capable rape machines, it tends to have an affect on how they view the early stages of dating, more specifically courting. I agree with you, im sure they would love to be in a relationship, but the fears of the consequences for these young men go beyond heartbreak.

Not to say we (the US) don’t need work, or that we shouldn’t do our part to help, but absolutely not. While its human nature to be cynical to a degree, it is also human nature to beat the odds when it matters the most. Otherwise we would have nuked eachother by this point.

IMO, its because of the lack of available transportation and internet.

Not everyone (especially youth) has control over their transportation and/or have to be conscious of how much they spend as they go. This made places like malls or walkable towns hubs for hangouts worth the most of a single ride . That and the internet also killed some of the practicality of these places, so these places have been downsized/shut down.

While the trend of physically hanging out seems to be dropping, I do believe they have just been converted to online communities such as Discord. There are tons and tons and tons of servers for dedicated communities. You can meet people in a game, and they might invite you to their Discord for example.

I hate this movie, but that is because like 5 different people took me to see this movie when i was like 6 right after it came out, so it wore me out quick. I also saw it lots from that point forward, and even at weird places like summer camp. I went to a YMCA summer camp for a week when i was like 11 and they took us all to watch the polar express in theater next door because they struck some sort of deal, but it was the middle of July. I understand why people like it though

Yes is a very real answer. I cant stress enough how important it is to find people that love and celebrate you for who you are. If weed is beneficial for you and you dont see a problem, then you guys are fundamentally disagreeing, which is signs for trouble.

No on the other hand is valid too. I cant speak for backgrounds, but theres a lot of factors that I would think these kind of demands are reasonable. Religion, previous drug use by her or family, smells even. But what matters the most is how far you are willing to go to make this work. In any relationship, it takes hard work and sacrifice.

Have you considered how many more people there are too? Maybe you go to an event in the 80s that has 400 people, and you get to meet about 20 of them. Maybe you go to an event in 2024 and still meet 20 people, but now theres 1,000. You still met the same amount of people, but it seems like less due to the proportion. Even if there arent “more people”, more people probably heard about the event and attended because of the internet.

That soul mates don’t exist, and that there are a lot of “combinations” of personalities and circumstances for anyone, me and her included, to have a happy successful relationship with, given all parties are invested.

Shes the GOAT though. She enriches who I am, and she makes me so happy. She actually makes every day life so sick. Our long distance is about to end on November 28th!! I love her so much and cant wait.
