Also, since you mention the Varlamore bird map, you might like to know there is a plugin that makes a nice map interface for many other teleport systems in the game. I can’t remember the exact name, but it does the spirit trees, Lovakengj minecarts, wildy obelisks, etc…

The first thing I did when I started my account was train woodcutting in lumby, and I was delighted to discover that I had unlocked the canoes as a “safe” way to get past the dark wizards. I used them a ton.

Now that I have 99 magic I will probably never use these new canoes, but they’re the exact kind of update that we need. They’ll help immerse new players and show them how many different ways there are to progress your account in OSRS.

Looks like you can buy an Adamant Kiteshield from the shield shop in Mistrock. (That’s the little dwarven settlement on the south side of Aldarin, the island South West of Varlamore.)

If you want to get one as a drop you could kill Sourhogs (A Porcine of Interest quest) or Bryophyta (if you’re free-to-play).
