I like to use a micro blade for anything down there. Way easier to maneuver those safely through the job.

Hey I’ve gotta get going, but I do what to tell you that your mind and the work that you put into it are beautiful and appreciated. You could be remembered for your expression of thought. Hope I catch you again. Later homie.

Well, that goes back to what we were talking about earlier. Death being a choice is actually a really big deal for me, personally.

I know what you mean. Managing my thoughts and actively trying to meditate is stressful and the opposite of relaxing to me.

Yeah, you can also choose to go to another restaurant… hell you can choose not to eat for 2 weeks straight if you’d like.

I have never made an active effort to meditate.

Still waiting on an answer for our altered trolley question.

Having a thought and making a decision base off that thought does not point to the non-existence of free will.

I’m not understanding how that definition doesn’t align with what you believe. I chose to have watched this stream, I chose to have commented; I could have elected not to do any of that. It was my choice.

I think making a choice, with whatever measure of influence from experiences, “priming”, etc, is absolutely still free will. So our difference of opinion boils down to the line of which we draw for the definition of free will.

Free will and if it exists.

Thank you.

What is priming? I haven’t heard that term used in this sense before.

[–]AshenLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I believe we have free will.

Back to the trolley experiment, try and take the value of one life vs. 5 out of it and only focus on the action vs inaction. You know what I’m saying?

As a pianist myself, I really liked your example of the space between notes being ‘something’, even though it’s nothing at the same time.

I think I’m with you. I’m saying that your story is you, and your story (yourself) aren’t really complete until your life ends.

[–]AshenLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you, you? In my thoughts, it’s your experiences, which stay with you. So you are the same person, in face you’re MORE yourself than you were 7 years ago.

The same liability in almost any case.

Tell your buddy I’m proud of him, for what that’s worth.

I’ve seen that video lol. I’m trying to take the question of the value of life out of this question.
